We just moved here a few months ago and this is our new go to for Hibachi grill and sushi.
The service is always fantastic, and everything that I have had has been great. They have two sections the hibachi grill area on the left where you can sit I think somewhere around 15 people or so to watch the chef do their magic.
If you're going to go for the experience make sure you call ahead. They have to make sure that they have a chef available at. I believe if it's a party of six or more they will accommodate and have a chef ready for you.
If not the seating on the right is where you'll find the sushi bar and additional seating You can still order all the same food it just won't be the same experience. With that being said I don't feel short changed at all and I usually have some type of doggy bag with me afterwards.
I've tried the New York steak, the filet mignon, shrimp, scallops, and chicken.
Truthfully in my opinion I didn't notice much of a flavor difference between the New York steak and the filet mignon. I'm not sure what they do with a chicken but it's actually one of my favorites.
When they first bring the food out they'll bring you a warm bowl of clear broth soup with a few mushrooms and dried onion straws. It's a hit or miss with our family half of the family can't stand it the other half will eat the soup that no one else will eat 😂.
I also really enjoy the salads they bring us it's a good healthy portion and it's nothing fancy it's typically mostly iceberg lettuce and some carrots. With that being said my wife and I love the creamy ginger dressing it just works.
When they serve your meal it'll come with fried rice and mixed vegetables along the meat. They also include yummy sauce that you can dip your chicken or meat in.
Regarding the steak they seem to actually follow our request when we asked for medium rare.
Most the alcoholic drinks are very reasonably priced which is always a bonus.
I would say on average it'll cost you about 25 bucks a person if you're not drinking a lot of alcohol.
I haven't been to their lunch yet however it looks like they have a lot of similar things that even better prices so I'm going to check that out soon.
My only gripe is the location is an old strip mall and there doesn't seem to be a lot of life around.
Middletown may not be the place that you think about grabbing a bite to eat yet I think it's a great place. I think it's a hidden gem and you'll love it here if you haven't been...
Read moreI'm having a hard time with this one. The food here has always been amazing and have never had a problem until tonight. First off I know how hibachi grills go, you don't always get a table to yourself. However me and my girlfriend had already ordered and received our soups salads and sushi and chef was about to Walk out when 4 other people showed up to our table. Okay that's fine no worries, however please give the chef enough food to bring out for everyone if more people show up, 23$ for 3 scallops and 5 pieces of shrimp just because someone ordered the same thing is absolutely unacceptable. I have no problem with the price but please give enough food for everyone to justify the price. The group of 4 clearly revived more rice than us and one member of their party chose more rice and no vegetables so of course that took quite a bit away from everyone else. Once again, please bring enough food for everyone. Now for the service, oh boy. Trinity needs to either work behind the scenes or have a total career change. She constantly forgot what me and my girlfriend had to drink and brought out the wrong drink every time but we just suffered through it and didn't make a big deal. Now what really got me was the end, meal was 60$ and I gave a 100$ bill. Do you really have the balls to ask me if I want my change or not thinking you're going to get a 40$ tip? She also rounded the total up so she could give an even number of change. She has potential and was polite however if she doesn't work on that small stuff someone else with a worse attitude than me...
Read moreWe used to love coming here, as recently as a few months ago! But now, must have a reservation for hibachi and/or a party of 6 or more to do hibachi. Went there for a date night with my husband to be told we had to eat on the restaurant side and couldn’t do hibachi. But we were hungry so decided to just eat on the restaurant side, service was extremelyyyy slow and they just showed no care or concern for us being there. Brought hibachi out to us that had none of the teriyaki sauce on it that they put on the hibachi typically when we see them cook it, overcooked steak, cold vegetables and meat and no flavor. Asked them to remake it and they put teriyaki and it was hot but overcooked the steak again. Never came back to ask how our food was or get refills, waited there for about 15-20 minutes for someone to check on us so we could express our concerns with the food but nobody ever came and our waiter was no where to be found so we had to hunt down the hostess who was attending to “to go” orders to express our concerns to. Originally ordered fried ice cream for after but after all of the waiting we’d already done from the extremely so service and already being so dissatisfied, we just told them forget the ice cream and went somewhere else for dessert. This has been our favorite spot for hibachi for years and unfortunately we probably won’t be back unless we had a party large enough for a...
