White Castle — Restaurant in Middletown

Fresh. Hot. Delicious. Not much more to say, but I was so satisfied I will.

We hadn't been to a White Castle in a few years. But the craving came hard and fast this time. So we opted to treat ourselves to a quick supper.

The Middletown dining area was clean and roomy. There were even 2 larger round tables marked to easily fit wheelchairs, to either side, out of the high traffic area. Nice touch. Thoughtful.

We ordered a couple traditional double cheese sliders and fries. You know when you get that taste for something and you gotta have it? Yep. But I had been disappointed too many times, I didn't expect this time would be any different. Boy was I wrong. So good! Was the same as always, as I had remembered. The fries were very hot, perfectly salted and not greasy. Just plain good. The silders were tasty, fresh, and hot, and I actually smiled when I took my first bite.

The young man who took my order was very friendly, polite, and respectful. It was a pleasure. I don't find this much anymore. It actually put me in a good mood.

Never thought I would have such a good experience at a fast food place. Thank you White...

My first time here! We ordered the 20 pc burger, chicken rings and fry package. Sorry, but I was not impressed with the pressed meat which was similar to steak-ums. The only flavor I tasted were from the onions. My husband had been there before and has been wanting to go back for months to get their loaded fries. Sorry to say, I was not that crazy about these either. He said the boxes are a lot smaller now. (I don't know how that is reflected in the price.) The fries were not cooked enough for me, they were very lightly cooked, bland in color with light toppings. After ordering and receiving our food, we left the window and realized we were not given and forks to eat the loaded fries with. Due to the current global limited restaurant service, we needed to wait in the drive thru lane and request 2 forks, wait to get to the window and pick up our forks. I feel like White Castle is something you have to be in the mood for, and when you are, despite the location, it's gonna hit the same. To be clear: 1 star = hated it 2 stars = disliked 3 stars = it's okay 4 stars = liked it 5 stars = loved it So i am not trying to say White Castle is absolutely fantastic. That would be ridiculous. BUT after a couple of gummies and in the right moment, White Castle can be awesome, for that first burger. I can't eat more than 2, though, and that's pushing it.

Staff is usually younger, but I've never had an issue with staff at any location. This particular location was great. Very nice guy who tried to do what he can to make his customer smile while passing, though the effort is appreciated.
