Westlake Ace Hardware — Local services in Midland

I went inside I saw that yall had flashlights display..I was looking over them and I went to cashier and ask them question, he didn't answer my and was rude about. So I went to check the tools and tool boxes. I'm a mobile mechanic so I'm always looking for tools and anything that can make my job easier.As I'm doing this a gentleman was following me around and I guess that I was going to steal..This made me feel like I wasn't wanted in the store..Instead of asking me if I need help ..He continously followed..NOW PLEASE I WAS WEARING A TANK TOP AND SHORTS. I EVEN ASK HIM A QUESTION AND HE SAID I GET SOMEBODY OVER HERE TO HELP..NO ONE DID AND STILL WAS FOLLOWING ME. ITS SAD WHEN I NOTICED IT..I FELT EMBARRASSED..CAUSE I WAS BEING DISCRIMINATED. WHO EVER SEE THIS ( HOW WOULD U FEEL THAT HAPPEN TO YOU) I SHOP AT YALL STORE MAYBE 1 OR 2 TIMES A MONTH.MY LAST QUESTION WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO BRING ME BACK TO YOUR STORE . My opinion of Westlake Hardware quickly changed today when my husband hurried to their store to grab some PVC glue for an emergency repair. The store was closing at 6 and he walked up to the door about 5 minutes before 6. Another customer entered the store directly in front of my husband but the employee at the door refused to let my husband in even though it wasnt yet time to close and even though my husband explained to him that he only needed that one item. The product at Westlake have always been more expensive than Lowes or Home Depot but we have always tried to purchase items from them, not only because they are closer for us to drive to, but also because my son worked there while attending college 10 years ago. I just dont think they have the intrigity that I once knew...

Ace hardware is awesome they go beyond to help folks. My A C went out Monday 8/4/25 around 2:00 pm and when I called in a service with one of the best heating and air conditioner businesses they was booked up through Tuesday into the late afternoon. My house got hotter and hotter. Tuesday morning I bought two telescoping fans from Ace to pick up for the house and my dog who was getting to hot even with my ceiling fans on. Ace had them ready for me to pick up just a few minutes after they opened. I got their text saying they were ready for pick up. They are so caring about their customers.
