(Original review 2019) It's okay. - Other than the DVDS it's become a "Hastings/Blockbuster" but of Pawnshop quality.

80% of what's found in store is online & on Amazon for Less if not more convenient.

UPDATE 2022: Usually I don't like being a downer or unnecessarily negative in my reviews, But as of recent times this location has lowered in quality more so over the years. It's essentially just random things most people wouldn't find interesting, and even if you're interested in specific things like card games, funkopops then it's a solid location for slightly "scalper" prices.

My biggest complaint is the overall cleanliness is pretty much awful (see image as an example), Half the staff is kind and helpful, the other half is unintentionally rude and awkward.

As one of the only places that cater to DVD/Gamer/Anime and popculture, I would hope it atleast do better to have a solid stock and more relevant items. Instead it's more of an overpriced "things most people don't want" garage sale.

The inner nerd child in me finds joy here.

Games, manga, records… yes.

Coming here takes me back to weekends in the 90’s and 2000’s when you’d go with your parents to Blockbuster or Hollywood Video. You’d scour the store for a movie and grab a VHS or gasp a blu-ray DVD.

It’s so fun to just meander around and pickup items that speaks to you. The staff are always ready and willing to help out. Very pleasant to talk to and you can tell they love being there.

They have pretty amazing deals too. I found a record I’d been searching for and it was such a bargain!

They have all kinds of game systems and the accessories. My nephew had been looking for controllers for the old Wii and was able to find everything he wanted here.

They even have packs of trading cards, book bags, and bargain bags. The inventory changes all the time, so if you see it, get it.

We love popping in here whenever...

I was saddened to know that Hastings had closed down. It was the best place to find anime music and books as well as DVDs and games. I'm a bit of an anime buff myself so when they closed down I rushed to the one in Odessa to at least buy one more thing from them before it was all done. One day, my wife and I decided we were going to buy something anime related for my oldest daughter, since she gained my love of anime as well. While looking through Google we stumbled upon this place, and realizing that this was the old Hastings in Midland when we walk through the door, I was immediately overcome with joy. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and they have a vast selection just as Hastings did and whatever entertainment you deem enjoyable. A hands-down wonderful place that I will be happy to...
