Ohio State Outpatient Care Gahanna — Local services in Mifflin Township

Positive: Great location, friendliness of all staff , cleanliness. Negative: Disorganization on multiple occasions. First, I filled out the ROI form to retrieve medical records from my previous physician, and during my next office visit months later, I was told that this office had not received my medical records. I can only speculate, but either the young lady in the office never sent the ROI form to previous PCP office; or she did not follow up to see why my medical records were not faxed.

Secondly (which is the worse): I had to wait two months for an appointment for my ongoing pain—needed an injection. Late afternoon the day before my appointment, I received a call stating that my provider does not give injections. I stated , why am I getting this information the day before my appointment! I stated that my provider had given me an injection in the past.

It was my intent for sometime to find another PCP; and after this last incident, I will be looking harder. I really miss my PCP in Houston… hopefully I can find another has...

The female technician performing my CT scans flushed my IV so fast that it caused pain. When I yelled out and started to cry, she chuckled/laughed. I've never been treated so bad in my life when receiving medical care/treatment. When I first complained about her behavior, she denied chuckling. When I complained again as she was starting the contrast, she said that she thought I was laughing at first, then realized I was crying. Not once did she ask if I was alright. Not once did she apologize. All she did was deny that she chuckled/laughed. I know what I heard coming from her mouth when she was standing right next to me. THIS REVIEW IS FOR ADMINISTRATION SERVICES! THIS DOESN'T PERTAIN TO MY PHYSICIAN! I have been going to Ohio State Outpatient Care Gahanna since 2009. Here recently you no longer can speak with your physician or a nurse for advise unless you want to wait for 24 to 48 hours later. I didn't ask to speak with a Dr. just a nurse and these wait times were the same as sending a note through My Chart. Getting to my Dr. or her assistants is like going through Fort Knox. I guess this is no longer patient care its all...
