Bowkers Pharmacy & Gift Shop — Local services in Milford

There has been two disappointment situations that I have faced when filling different prescriptions with this pharmacy:

1. At first I had filled a prescription with no problem, i picked up and I start taking my treatment, but 3 days after they called me saying that they made a mistake and i should return the pills back, including the ones that i already have consumed before, claiming that they didn’t had coverage for that type of drug!! And I said how do you expect I return those pills that my body already digest? Really?
2. the second situation was FOR A DIFFERENT PRESCRIPTION, the place showed a lack of compassionate treat by the staff; i called to ask about the status of my prescription since i was in a lot of pain due to a major surgery, they told me the drugs were ready to pick up and why I was calling if the “automatic” service should reflect the status , I explained it wasn’t and the person on the phone didn’t believed, i described the process we followed to filled out the prescription explaining that my husband helped me since i was in a lot of pain, the person on the phone started saying that my husband helping me to filled out the prescription was an ilegal act and i was like what?! Their “automatic” service is not easy to follow that’s why we were trying to figure it out while I was in pain so bad!, so I’m not sure if they really even care about someone who is facing health issues.

I definetely would rather to get any prescription from another pharmacy more organized and with a respecful...

I had a 1:00PM appointment to receive the Rapid Covid Test. I arrived a little early. I was masked with an N95 mask that I wear whenever I leave my home. I was received immediately by Dr. Patel. I had printed out the email I received from Bowker Pharmacy with my appointment. Dr.Patel took me to a cubical set up near the entrance of the pharmacy and explained how he would do the test and Told me that I would receive the results by email shortly .....he then explained what the results might be. The test took only a few minutes.....and by the time I arrived back home, the results had been emailed to me. I was tremendously impressed by the efficiency of the Bowker Pharmacy in fascilitating my setting up my appointment....and Dr. Patel kindness and expertise as he took great care to make sure I understood everything that was happening. And what the results might indicate. I would highly recommend Bowker Pharmacy to anyone who needs a Covid test, or wants to get the Covid - 19 Vaccine. As I am 80 years old, I am hoping I will eventually be eligible for a booster shot. And I will go to The Bowker Pharmacy if they ever are,in a position to give Booster shots. Thank...

Overall, this pharmacy is excellent and highly accommodating. However, I deducted one star due to my occasional unpleasant encounters with a particular clerk named Jay. In my experience, he has been quite impolite, frequently interrupting me and refusing to let me finish my questions, even for straightforward inquiries. On top of that, he has even denied me prescriptions that I pick up on a monthly basis. Fortunately, when I called back and spoke with a different staff member, they promptly resolved the issue and ensured that I received my medication as needed.

That being said, it was frankly shocking to me to be treated with such disrespect, especially since this has never been my experience at Bowker's otherwise. I'm writing this review in the hopes that it will prompt the management to provide Jay with the customer service training he needs to assist customers with kindness and respect. I appreciate the great service provided by the majority of the staff at Bowker's, and I hope that the necessary measures will be taken to ensure that every customer is treated with the utmost care and...
