Great coffee! They roast the beens right there on the property and have an amazingly large selection of nichรจ roasts and flavors. They also feature of different fairl- traded micro roasted beans from from all over the world seasonally. Such great brealfast/brunch and lunch. Ice cream is from local family own farm much like many of their products from foods to dry good; it says where it's from and what's in it and even who made it. They make a great baked oatmeal with fresh berries/fruit topping , good for any time of day. Pancakes are a favorite . Only complaint is that they're not open long enough for me. I'd sit out on the porch with my coffee late enough to see the fireflies light up the summer sky if the hours allowed. If you stop bring a dog treat for good ol Stretch, the resident would- be plate cleaner and absolutely the sweetest puppy eyes in the place. He's like the Homestead mascot . Love this place and love that it's right by the river, the the two locations are perfect companions and I think anyone can find something inside that will bring you back , and...
ย ย ย Read moreMy wife calls the Homestead my 'happy place'. It takes us almost 45 minutes to get there on Sundays, but it is worth every minute of the trip. We load our dog, get the Sunday paper and enjoy the Zen producing ride up the river. I find that when I am finally moments away from pulling in the parking lot, all the cares of the week seem to melt away. The owners really have created a place where it's easy to feel some real piece of mind for an hour or two (of which we are regularly guilty). The food is terrific and served with real care. The coffee, oh the coffee. Its roasted in a barn on the property, and it's obvious how much effort has gone into the process. I come because I cannot get any coffee in my area that reaches Homesteads level of dedication to the craft. And my golden is very happy when he knows we're going there. And that is just about more important to me than other things...
ย ย ย Read moreThis may be my new favorite spot. My wife told me about this place and we decided to take a trip there. It was my first time there and boy, it was amazing. You walk in to this old fashioned general store, you can order food they have some old style merchandise, old time coffee machines, etc. it wasnโt like Cracker Barrel where they have upscale items. What I liked about this place was, that it is kinda in the middle of nowhere. The food was fantastic, the staff was extremely friendly. The owner came outside to set up the heat lamp outside for us because it was jam packed with patrons plus my son wanted to eat outside next to the canal and show me the scenery that sits behind the store. Overall just fantastic. We will...
