Food Lion — Local services in Milford

Ordered a chocolate on chocolate Spiderman birthday cake towards the end of this past March from the cake book on the counter. When I went to pick up this most wanted cake on the requested day of pick up the frosting was not chocolate but blue. Now a little boy that has his mind set on a chocolate and chocolate Spiderman birthday cake is not going to be happy. Too young to understand.

Latoya in the bakery came to our rescue right away and did not fuss whatsoever. She made a fresh C on C Spiderman cake that was a success. Two weeks later I caught her and let her know that the cake was a big hit. Not knowing she was leaving for the day I requested some birthday cupcakes for the little guy's older sister. She did not hesitate to take my request to the point. We are so grateful to her for her compassion, time and professional manner. Wow! I received top tier service in Food lion yesterday and I just want to say thanks guys! I have a 14 month old baby and it was a little stressful yesterday because I dropped the snack he was eating and he started getting a little fussy. When we came up upon the deli to get in line, everything changed! He was sooo very happy to be greeted by the line of happy customers …they were waving at him and smiling and saying hi. It didn’t take long to see that everyone was so happy and in a good mood and cheerful because of the man behind the counter! I don’t know his name, but he was so happy….his joy was infectious. He gave us a sample of the lunch meat we bought and I was able to let my baby munch on that and finish my shopping. Thank you so much for making my shopping...

I am writing this review strictly on the deli guy who helped me today. Today is June 17, 2024 at around 220pm. His name was CORY. That’s the first time I’ve been to that deli and felt welcomed and was treated with the best customer service I’ve ever seen. He was super friendly and a total delight to my day. Was very refreshing this time to have someone behind the counter that was actually friendly and seemed to not mind doing his job. Excellent job Cory!! You should be recognized for your hard work and effort to make people feel special!! There are certain woman who have been there for years that are no where even close to the service he provided. Was a nice change....
