I have to say, I was really excited to try this place. I have just moved to the area and have been trying to find a new place to fill my chinese food cravings. When I arrived, they weren't open yet even though the door said 11Am and it was around 11:15Am. Finally the owner showed up welcomed us in. I could overlook this as I understand they are only human and who knows what was going on. Anyways, I finally was able to order. The customer service was actually really great, very friendly and warm. After about 25 minutes, my food was finally ready. I noticed that it seemed kind of light for the amount of food I order but figured it was just my hunger getting the best of me. When I eventually got home and started digging in all the excitement I had quickly fell flat. The food was cooked appropriately but it was extremely bland. I had ordered the curry beef and although they warned it was spicy on the menu, I could barely taste anything other than the beef. Not even that, it was just beef and onions. It definitely needed something added to it specially for the price paid for it. The same could be said for the bland fried rice.
In conclusion, the customer service is great, the food is cooked well but they definitely need to rethink their recipes as the food is bland and a little lack luster...
Read moreShewww so this was a first time stop… and I’ve debated how to write this… the place has a cool vibe that should be excellent food. My co worker recommended this to me because i like mom and pop shops…. The sesame chicken was very not good… like slimy wet breading… with I think a home made sauce that had no flavor, and I don’t mean bad flavor, I mean none at all, it was quite deceiving actually haha. I handed out pieces amongst people and it’s like reddish salt water lol. Fried rice comes with nothing in it, I didn’t know that so I don’t knock them on that. I would next time ask for onions and sprouts or perhaps they should ask me. I got extra egg rolls to go, and there all shrimp, there main egg roll plain is a shrimp. So just know that incase you have anyone with a shellfish allergy. The wontons were home made and ok. I don’t knock them either. I want to like this place but it’s hard, maybe one more try in a month. The other dishes we got were similar in texture and colors. No one was happy but no one hated it… just pricey to not be good. I’d say gas station Chinese would be right on track with this place… maybe better lol. I will reorder the same thing and additional items to verify if it’s just a bad night. And then rescore...
Read moreI want to be cautious about this post, we visited this place for dinner, we had what I felt was good food for the main meal. But we also had soup and that's where I feel something was bad.
We are a family of 4, and 3 of us ate the sweet and sour soup, the 4th one does not like it. Both of my boys shared the same main dish and my wife and I had different meals we didn't share.
After that evening dinner only my youngest, who also eaten the soup only ate a slice of pizza (nobody ate anything else). Earlier that day we had only eaten at IHOP that early morning and felt excellent that whole day, and both of my kid's ate the same breakfast plate together, again my wife and I had different dishes.
I hate to say it, the people in this restaurant were nice...but clearly it was the sweet and sour soup eaten by me, my spouse, and my son that made us extremely sick, stomach problems, running for the john... it was a bad night and this morning.
I think this restaurant needs to check into this at least, I feel that they are a good community place, the other meals were excellent, but we noticed the soup had small bits of pork, when most other Chinese food places don't put pork in their meal, and I enjoy pork but maybe that's the...
