On my FIRST visit as a patron to this Milford, DE "China Wok" location (near the Milford, DE - WalMart Super Store), I was REFUSED service when I arrived just as a police officer patron was exiting the China Wok with her order. The officer, kindly, held the door open for me (it was raining HEAVILY on that evening). I walked up to the counter and was told the restaurant was closed. I was NEW to Delaware at the time (Summer - 2015) and had gotten lost over a period of approximately 3 weeks, trying to locate this China Wok because it was in close proximity to my area (11 zip code digits from MY area). I was OBVIOUSLY upset when I explained this to the lady who was on duty their at the time. I asked WHY her door wasn't locked, IF she was closed. . .since the previous, exiting customer was not escorted to the door so that the restaurant would have been LOCKED when I arrived there. I vowed that I would NEVER return to that Milford - China Wok site EVER again, and that I would drive to the Bridgeville - China Wok location henceforth. It made no difference to the staff person, so I left and went to "Burger King" to ease my hunger. I have been a very HAPPY & SATISFIED patron and REGULAR customer of the "CHINA WOK - BRIDGEVILLE, Delaware from that day to this. In fact, on my FIRST visit to the BRIDGEVILLE China Wok, I called in my order with ample time to arrive to pick the order up, however, I got LOST,. The restaurant staff called to check my ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival), and assisted me PATIENTLY, until I reached there. Even though it was 20 or 30 minutes AFTER their CLOSING time, they cheered and greeted me with a POSITIVE attitude, as if I were their first customer at the commencement of the business day. Now THAT's CUSTOMER SERVICE. To that Milford, DE China Wok store, (not affiliated with Bridgeville, because they're independently owned), LATER for YOU and POOF be GONE to YOU, I will NEVER Grace your doorway EVER again. Your tip for the day is IMPROVE your CUSTOMER SERVICE and train you staff to properly handle such situations as my encounter in your establishment. Thank you. It is WELL with me. AMEN. Read moreEvery single time I get food from here I am disappointed and/or disgusted. If they weren’t so close to my job I would never order for them at all. However, let me entertain you all with some of my worst moments here: This happened a few days ago- one of my coworkers ordered just one egg roll from them. When she arrived, they handed her a whole meal. She repeatedly told them that she JUST ordered and paid for a egg roll. They refused to listen to her and forced her to take the meal. She came back to work with the meal, and luckily she just placed it on the counter in the back and we forgot about it. That was until two employees came to our job and forced us to give them the meal back, and then accused her of misunderstanding them and taking the food anyways. They wanted the meal back to give to the customer who ordered that meal as a pick up order. We were both revolted, she threw the rest of her egg roll out. This happened tonight- family member ordered a take out order, they forgot an item. We had to drive twenty minutes back to them to get this meal. We then asked for a refund, we didn’t even want the food anymore. They refused a refund, and all of a sudden couldn’t understand English. This happened a couple years ago- I ordered chicken and mixed vegetables and they just gave me mixed vegetables. My coworker ran the food back over and asked for either a refund or a remake. They blamed me and said I ordered it wrong and refused to remake the food or give me a refund.
I could literally go on and on about the amount of times I’ve been screwed over by this place. There was one girl who worked there years and years ago, she’s an amazing person. She was the only good part of that store. They’ve gone downhill tremendously in the last few years, believe it or not but there was a time when they were actually a really great place. Just beware eating here. So many times either me or a coworker has gotten food poisoning. Save yourself the pain and just go to Walmart or go and spend a little extra money at Mt. Fuji. I’ve held my tongue leaving a review on here about this place for years, but people need to know what’s...
Read moreSmall business family run located in the same plaza as dollar store next to Japanese place Fuji . Polite front desk staff lady and the guys seem to be the cooks in the kitchen .Ordered on Saturday at 6:00 pm for 6:30 and it was ready when I got there . Spicy beef dish and shrimp dish with the sides that come with the dishes . Spicy beef is not really spicy at all for me . Food quantity enough for the two of us and and it was cooked well . Not very authentic because I’ve been to a few cities in China and know the taste but food tasted ok for the price it seemed good value too. The beef did not have the beefy taste I guess it’s because they marinate it . Ingredients are reflected in the reasonable prices. We enjoyed the food nevertheless and an alternative to the other place near Redners where we got food poisoning due to chicken not properly refrigerated...
