This review is for both the PB Mill Creek/Lynnwood studios (since I go to both). I was super excited that both studios are under new management, Katie Wallis! I was introduced to Katie when I took my very first class at the PB Bellevue Studio and attended subsequent Kirkland Studio outdoor events. She knows what she is doing and I was so confident in becoming a Founding Member under her ownership. And I am soooo glad I did!
As far as PB Mill Creek/Lynnwood, the 4 words that best describe the studios are (1) community, (2) variety, (3) strength (4) and encouragement. I was looking for an in-person workout community and I found just that! PB itself provides a dynamic way to target various muscle groups and to fatigue them to ensure you grow in strength while toning your body, especially that PB ledge 🥰. I absolutely love the different class types as well since you can tailor it to what your body needs. PB Mill Creek/Lynnwood has helped me get through a few medical issues I was having that caused bloating and different changes in my body. Instructors are very knowledgeable and can offer modifications (as well as corrections) to assist you in feeling how different positions affect your targeted body part based on your unique body's condition on that particular day! I absolutely love the bathroom artwork, which reminds me that "all butts are welcomed" at PB Mill Creek/Lynnwood. A great reminder for me when I don't feel my best and overly bloated and self-conscious.
The only thing I would say is, I wish the carpet wasn't there because I am not a fan of carpet.🤣 However, that is just a generic complaint on a corporate level since this is a franchise. It is not something that can be changed. The workouts themselves are 5 star worthy and I had to get over the carpet . . . at least when I am working out at the...
Read moreEdit May 2024: I'm thrilled that Pure Barre Mill Creek has reopened under new ownership after the previous sudden closure! So glad to be back taking classes again.
Edit Nov 2023: Welp, after just 2 months of being open and literally days after the logo was installed above the entrance door, there has been an “extreme circumstance and unexpected transition at the ownership level”, per the email sent out to members and the studio is “temporarily closed”. However from everything I have since found out online, this closing is not an isolated occurrence as other studios under the same ownership have been affected as well and I sadly expect this closure will more than likely be permanent. What a huge disappointment after signing up to be a founding member 9 months before the studio opened, only to have this wonderful place suddenly close so quickly after opening due to bad management at some higher level which has ruined it for everyone. Sending my love to the PBMC and Lynnwood staff who are the biggest victims in this huge mess.
Previous review: I’m so excited that Pure Barre Mill Creek is open! I’m a ballet dancer and had been looking for a new workout routine to improve my conditioning and Pure Barre is exactly what I needed. The workouts are tough but effective and I can already feel myself getting stronger. You will get in shape very quickly with Pure Barre! I love that there are now multiple class types: Pure Barre Classic, Align, and Empower which focus on strength, stretching, and cardio, respectively. All of the instructors are great and the music makes such a difference in keeping me energized and motivated to complete each class to the best...
Read moreI had a terrible experience with the management of this location. I went to the free class and was essentially coerced into signing up for a 3 month membership after I told Mindy and the front desk attendant I didn’t feel like I could commit to 3 months due to school obligations. They said things that made me feel bad about myself and like I needed to sign up. Mindy verbally told me that cancellation window was 14 days and did not provide me with a copy of the contact and I had no way of accessing it. I fulfilled my 3 month obligation and cancelled within the 14 days before the next payment date only to be told that the cancellation notice was 30 days and I would need to pay for the month. This issue escalated to the owner who apologized for her employee’s mistake but said she was unable to waive the fee and I would still need to pay. I told the owner I would review my options and get back to her and I was constantly called and emailed asking for payment and it was absolutely ridiculous. I completely understand my own role in this but the way management treated me was absolutely wild. No sense of customer service. Great workout but terrible...
