Hermès — Local services in Millburn

Hmm what can I say about this store! Okay so first of all I love designer stuff I always shop at short hills but when I go to short hills I dress like any other regular person sweat pants and a hoodie, I’m going to a mall not a fashion show I wanna be comfortable when I go shopping... so me and my mom walked into Hermès to buy my dad a birthday gift mind you we were looking at shoes that cost $2,000+ so that’s a big purchase the second we walked in no one acknowledges us because we were dressed like regular people but when a lady walks in carrying a huge Louisvuttion shopping bag, Chanel shopping bag and carrying a Gucci purse they immediately run up to her... so as me and my mom were browsing we asked the lady for a size in shoes what they carry she told us and walked away then she came back cause me and my mom were discussing on what to get him which pair, mind you we were speaking French so then we switched to English so she can know we weren’t saying anything negative.. we kindly asked her if we can take pictures and send it to my dad cause he’s super picky and she said yeah sure it’s not a problem which I appreciate because usually I go shopping on 5th Ave in NYC and in that Hermès location they do not allow you to take pictures! So we then told her what kind of shoe we wanted to purchase and she did bring it out for us! Once she brought it out she walked us around the store showing us items and did t leave us which I appreciate because when I go shopping I like getting the sales persons opinion and she even offered us water! I will be returning...

Visited the store yesterday to pick up a stocking stuffer twilly for my mother. The white sales associate lady that helped me was unimaginably rude, and the two female sales associates that were working at the time I was there last night (Thursday) began to gossip right in front of me about a customer who just left who came in to return a purchase. They spoke of the customer in such a disgusting manner, judging her for supposedly "not having enough money" to afford the item in the first place. The sales associate who helped me with the twilly was so rude with her mannerisms and words, rolling her eyes while I was looking at the twilly selections, and slamming drawers shut. When I was paying, she never once looked me in my eyes and shoved, almost tossed the bag at me while saying "okay goodbye now bye". I must day, these associates and my experience at this location was absolutely horrendous and disgusting. As a long-time buyer and collector of bags, clothing, and accessories from this brand, I have to say I am so disgusted with the treatment I have received as a CUSTOMER at Hermes last night at the Short Hills Mall location. The asian and white ladies working on Thursday night (12/22/22) at around 6pm, shame on you. You are merely a representation of this brand. You are not THE brand. Recognize your role and your place and get it together....

Purchased a messenger bag online and picked it up at this particular Hermes boutique and the sales associate that was assigned to me was Jennifer. She asked why I was there and I told her that I was picking up an order I placed online and she said that it says on her note that we were there for a belt to be fixed and I told her that whoever she spoke to gave her the wrong information and so she went to the back and checked my order. She had no interest in offering me to purchase anything else at the store. She just gave me my items and that’s it. Most negative comments about this particular Hermès boutique are all true. I am always at this mall and you will notice that the security guard and the employees seem to not want anyone shopping here. If the security guard could just attach their body to the door, they would because that’s how weird they are. They are basically guarding the door so no one can come in and shop. The employees are all intimidated by the customers that they all act like they are better than us when they just work there. The boutique has a capacity to let probably 10-15 people in but they only let 2 customers in which doesn’t make sense. Overall, this place is not worth spending all your money. Go somewhere else because we all work hard for our money and we deserve a 5...
