Absolute worse experience with the manager. I had a ring I wanted to return. Never worn had all the boxes and bags it came with. Had the receipt and was well within the return date. I purchased the ring at a location in South Jersey. I paid with apple pay and she said because the receipt doesn't match the card I have she cannot do the return. And mind you, apple pay does this where it encrypts your card number. I only have one credit card I use it could not possibly have been any other card. She said she can't help me and that I should go where I bought it. I told her I don't have the time to drive a few hours when she should be helping me. It's obviously a store issue for however their receipts print. I also showed her my bank statement which matched the transaction time and amount with the receipt and she still wouldn't help me. She finally said she would make an exception and returned it for me. But it was absolute disappointment. Never have I experienced such incompetency. And that too from a “manager”. Would fire her honestly, made me wary of purchasing from Swarovski if they will give such a hassle...
Read moreOn 5/31, my boyfriend and I visited the Swarovski store at Short Hills Mall. We were genuinely enjoying ourselves, admiring the beautiful crystals. My boyfriend gently touched one of the pieces he was interested in, and out of nowhere, the sales associate loudly shouted, “WOAH, BE CAREFUL!”
The reaction was startling and completely unnecessary the crystal wasn’t mishandled in any way. We’ve both visited Swarovski locations for years and have never experienced that kind of treatment. It felt less like a concern for the item and more like a personal attack.
To be honest, the tone and intensity of her reaction made me question whether there was some underlying bias or racism involved. It was upsetting enough that I immediately said we needed to leave the energy shifted that quickly.
We walked in with genuine interest and left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. I hope the store takes situations like this seriously, because no one should feel targeted or unwelcome...
