I took my two year old here because his breathing seemed off while he had a cold. Got there and was told they didn’t have a pediatric care unit but that they would give him a breathing treatment and transfer him to Hamot. We were there for over six hours, the doctor saw him once in the first hour and the breathing treatment took place in that first hour. My kid was breathing fine, just exhausted so after being bullied and lied to about a transfer I made the call to take him home so he could sleep and call his pcp when they opened-2 hours after I left. Millcreek called Ocy on me, told them I had refused my child care and medication- even though they said they couldn’t treat him and no prescription had been ordered for him. They lied on their report to a government agency because their staff was upset I wasn’t willing to wait over 6 hours to transfer to a hospital I could have driven to( they told me if I drove him he wouldn’t be seen until the following day which turned out to not be an issue anyway) and decided to get my child treatment else where. He was fine, his pcp confirmed no care or medicine was even necessary because he had a cold and was healing well. But really, don’t take your kids here unless you’re willing to get another doctor to tell ocy you aren’t...
Read moreDoctor was unbelievably rude. Never experienced anything like it. I have a extrememly severe peanut allergy and came in (in shock) completely in full blown reaction . Anyone in their right mind could tell how serious it was . This doctor was one of the worst and most disrespectful people ive ever dealt with. My father worked in the healthcare business for 30+ years and have many friends and family in his line of work. He needs to seriously be trained on customer service and how to respectfully treat people. Let alone him disregardong my concerns when i was having a hard time breathing and my whole body swelled up.
If i was in the right state of mind and not going through that horrible reaction i would never have been okay or accepted the way he spoke to me and my fiance.
Nurses were awesome. No complains on that side. The doctor was awful and i will make sure to make it known. Will make a formal complaint when i get my paper work and receive doctors name etc.
Dont go here for anything serious. I only went cause it was the closest er to me when i...
Read moreWorst experience at this hospital! I would never return! Started with ER and conflicting reports from 2 doctors and led to a stay that had so many errors and miscommunications. I had one great doctor once I was admitted as a patient (Dr Bambino) that came in and tied together why I was told differing reports, but he alone could not outweigh what I experienced as a whole and gain back my trust with the LECOM system! I finally stated I wanted to leave last night at 7pm and finally walked out the doors at 9:35pm! LECOM called in prescriptions that are necessary to treat possible infection, but pharmacy cannot fill because they were written with errors! No one will return calls from myself or from the pharmacy, once again Dr Bambino came to my rescue and corrected the prescription error for me and promptly called me to communicate! I am at a loss, but will never return to this hospital and wanted to make others aware of my experience! I didn't want to leave even 1-star, but it is necessary to...
