I wish there was another option for care. This place is hardly worth going to, even in an emergency. If you can travel 45 minutes for help otherwise, that's the safest choice.

Most recently, my daughter needed stitches. The provider told us they were dissolving stitches, but that wasn't the case. 4 weeks later we had to make a trip to primary care to have stitches removed from a squirming toddler. Minor mistake, but SERIOUSLY unsettling as a parent (what else are they getting wrong??)

The emergency room does not have a call system if a patient needs something. So the options are get up (if you can) and ask for help, or yell for assistance.

I was blown off and totally disregarded as a human when seeking emergency care on one of the worst days of my life.

On 7/18/2020 I drove to the walk in clinic to find it closed on a Saturday (which is ridiculous since they are only open during the same hours as a doctor during the week. I ended up going to the ER in Millinocket. The nurse that did my triage was extremely rude. She literally makes you feel like you are bothering her just by being there. No greeting at all. Very cold with not one ounce of empathy. She made no eye contact and coughed into her hands the whole time. She then put me in a room where I sat (in pain) for 45 minutes. Not one person even bothered to stick their head in to see how I was or to explain they would be in soon. The garbage was filled to the top with bloody bandages on top. There were also ants crawling on the floor. I took a picture of those things. I ended up walking out. Not one person bothered to ask me why I was leaving. Never again!!!!! I will drive to anywhere else...

My daughter suffered for almost 2 years. She had had endometriosis in the past as well as surgery. They sent her home in pain even when she was catatonic. They said she did Not have endometriosis. She finally went to the Endometriosis Center in Atlanta,Ga and had surgery. She had endometriosis in her pelvic area and intestines stuck to her bowel wall. I think they are the worst hospital we ever...
