I was in Millinocket for 2 days with my girlfriend and we stopped here for pizza after hiking. We got the pat's combo and an Italian hoagie. It was some of the best pizza we've ever had and the hoagie was really solid too. The next day we hiked Mount Katahdin and were so excited to get more after such a draining day. When we called to place an order we were informed that they had run out of dough. We were disappointed after hearing this but we still needed to eat so we decided to go to the competition Millinocket house Pizza (there is no competition). We had to endure one of the worst meals of my life. The pizza tasted like school cafeteria pizza and I also ordered an Italian hoagie. It was a disgrace of a sandwich. Who puts American cheese on an Italian hoagie?! If you're in Millinocket and want pizza, do yourself a favor and go to Angelo's.

Pretty good veggie pizza. They had just reopened and were getting everything set up when we went so they have probably ironed out the kinks but there were some issues with our order. After a long day of hiking this pizza was great. (We ordered on the phone for pick up and then when we arrived on time the food was not ready and we had to tell them our order. There were many people in the restaurant waiting for their food so it seemed like they did not have their method down yet.)

One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten! We watched the Asian pizza chef (yes, Asian) make and bake the pizza. Great care was taken every step of the way. Once the pizza was cooked she remove the pan and put the pizza back in to crisp up the crust. She checked it several times until it was just right. OMG, this thing (house special) was freaking awesome. If you're in the area do yourself a favor, come here! The owner is fun to chat with, too.

Not many choices for food in this town and this is definitely the best choice for pizza. Food was excellent. We ordered two large specialty pizzas that were cooked to perfection. Pizza is cooked in a convection oven that is a lot better than the greasy pan pizza most places make. It's not brick oven but the sauce and toppings add flavor to quench your appetite. Good choice of beer and okay decor. Service was excellent. Our waitress Katie was super attentive, friendly and courteous. Hours are odd as they close during lunch and also close at nine pm. I would visit this place again with family and friends. Local park ranger Zak also recommended this place to us, indicating it's...

From the outside, the place looks like a little darkly-lit greasy spoon kind of place. Do not be deceived. Angelos does great medium-thick crust pizza. And they do green pizza (i.e., pizza with pesto sauce instead of tomato sauce), which seems to be uncommon this side of the Mississippi. The burgers are good but their fries are awesome. And the two-for-the-price-of-one pasta specials on Wednesday nights are tasty, big portions, and a steal at the price. Get the chicken and broccoli alfredo - you won't be sorry. I don't care for their seating - I find it uncomfortable so I usually...
