WARNING! PAY CASH ONLY!! Overhead surveillance cameras at the register record your PIN number. Never ever have I ever seen six surveillance cameras clustered within a five sq. ft. area that point directly down at the PIN PAD. When I asked for the manager I was given the typical, “no se,” response from the register clerks. Perhaps the most noteworthy observation was their use of an iPad POS system too large to simultaneously hold in my hand and cover the screen with the other to protect my PIN number. Additionally, several other surveillance cameras point directly at the POS key pads at two other registers but from different angles and at different heights; I counted no-less-than eight. I checked with local law enforcement and they too were surprised to learn about the shear volume of cameras located in such a confined space. They reassured me that the ROBBERY crime rate is less than .03 tenths of one percent per capita for the entire state of Oregon at large as of September 30, 2018. and even lower for their town of 7000 souls. You be the judge.
All things being equal, the customer service is good and the prices are reasonable. The register clerks are as dumb as a box of rocks for not knowing who the responsible manager on duty is or where to find him/her, but the produce is farm fresh. Prepare immediately, though. Inventory favors Latino cuisine so don’t go expecting to buy Star Fruit or Asian Pears. Check out the butcher counter too. The nice young men behind the counter will cut to order. The perimeter isles are where you’ll find the locals. The center isles are overpriced tourist traps. Walmart is just a few miles north, just across the state line if you need dry goods. I’d give Super Milton a higher rating if it weren’t for the concern they provoked over IDENTITY THEFT at the register. FYI-If you’re looking for a great sea food experience, I learned that the owners of Super Milton also own MRS. CRABS BOILING POT in WALLA WALLA, one of my favorite eateries.👍 Delicious! Sorry for the long post -...
Read moreI practice magical workings so I go to both of the Latin American grocery stores here and I used to go to the one in Walla Walla. I stopped going for the one in Walla Walla because of a bad customer service experience. That goes to say that hey love the fact that these stores carry almost everything I need when it comes to herbs and spices. But seriously is it just me or is customer service just going down the drain in general I never get a smile I always get a blah attitude yet people around me yet the service I almost feel like it's because of my color of my skin I don't speak very well Spanish, with that said it is still a store that English-speaking people go to so therefore I shouldn't be treated any differently I stopped going to both of these stores now because of this. Each their own but that...
Read moreI literally feel like I'm in Mexico every time I go to this store, they have a lot of my favorite chips and candies from Mexico I thought I'd never eat again. Not to mention this is one of the only places within a 2 hour drive distance that has my salsa Botanera that I love so much. If you stop by you should get the fruit cup at the counter, everything is so...
