La Ramada Mexican Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Milton-Freewater

We went to this restaurant tonight. Shortly after we were seated a couple people came in with a little girl. It was ok for ten minutes or so. Then the kid(walking age) about 2 or so started screaming. On and off every minute or two. Then stop for a few, then started over. THE WHOLE TIME WE ATE!!! It was horrible. I went to get a box so "we could get away from that screaming kid". While I was up getting the to go box a woman went over to the table and picked up the kid. She worked there!!! Mgt. should not have allowed that child to be in the restaurant. How unprofessional. A couple from the bar was leaving as we were. I said how fortunate for them as they did not have to sit near that screaming kid. The man said that they had come in for a couple drinks, but had left after one because the screaming was so bad. It was pretty busy for a Sunday around 3:30pm when we went, which was my first time there, but a spot my relatives who live in the area like to go to. Our server was very busy serving many tables, so getting more chips and salsa and water refills took a bit longer than we would usually like. I only saw one other server, so I wonder if the restaurant was possibly understaffed that evening. We were grateful, however, when our server brought a pitcher of water just for our table, which kept us happy and eliminated extra work for him. Once the food arrived, it was so good. Delicious, authentic taste. Large portions. Reasonable pricing. The server was nice the whole time, and never appeared to let how busy he was come across with frustration. We were seated right away and our order was taken quickly, so I thought we were off to a good start. Unfortunately, our waitress disappeared after that—she was in the back laughing and joking, and never once came to check on us. After 45 minutes, the hostess (who was very sweet and attentive) noticed we still didn’t have food, only to discover our order hadn’t even been put in. She stepped in and made things right, but our server was terrible and seemed more interested in flirting in the kitchen than taking care of customers.

When our food finally did arrive, it wasn’t very good. My strawberry lemonade tasted awful, almost like the fruit was spoiled. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. i wouldn't...
