I was visiting Boston for a week and decided to look up an Elite Stihl dealership after a quick Google search I found Milton Village Hardware store, located on the outskirts of Boston near the end of the Red Line.

A quick transfer onto the free Mattapan Trolley took me to Milton where a 5min walk found me standing outside this historic hardware store which I have been reliably informed by the staff (Colby & Dan) has been on the same site since 1918 (wow…that fact alone was worth the journey).

On entering this store, it feels like stepping back into the past before the days of the poor service big box stores (no names mentioned here to avoid litigation!) you know who I am talking about. The service was immediately first class from the minute I entered the store with Colby being truly impressed with my impeccable British accent…. Ha ha ha.

They are definitely missing a trick here because it would not have been apparent to your average customer that downstairs there was a hidden treasure trove of Stihl products all displayed with military precision. The most dangerous thing to do as a consumer is to go into an Aladdin’s cave of your favourite products with no good reason other than having an inquiring mind.

I ended up fortunately finding two items that I actually needed a new pair of Stihl High Performance PRO Gloves and a Silky Gunfighter Professional Saw….Yeah Baby. This shop is a must for anyone in Boston and the surrounding areas who wants that personalised level of customer service, for all repairs and day to day servicing of your Stihl equipment and much more.

The best hardware store for a Stihl rmg 460 lawnmower. I'm done with home Depot for lawn mowers they sell junk. So the true bottom line this lawn mower everyone had it. I searched two days on line and nobody had this mower. The ace hardware had plenty in all stores, they had none. I called the corporate office and they said the reason it can't be shipped there all out of stock. Wow I was getting moody on my search. Now most of us heard of nothen tools they had them in stock, So they ran my credit card through and then they tell me there backed ordered. So you got a date they said In four days, but we were supposed to have them last month. So now I said let's cancel the order, they tell me after the transaction. The only other online shipping was the wholesale tool warehouse. I give them a call we're all out of stock. So I called Milton hardware he was true to me on the phone the price unbelievable $349.00 if I was located by the store. The shipping had me confused but on check out I had a big smile. The cheapest online store that did not have one, his check out price was right there with him. I'm like I need the best deal when it comes to shopping. So Milton hardware is my number one Stihl store. I got this for the girlfriend in western pa and every Stihl dealer was out of stock in Pa. Thank you Milton village hardware. So I wanted to add this I used the mower all summer on one battery I got one hour of running time. That's enough to do the whole lawn, and I was amazed by this mower I got tired of weed whacking and the mower went through 2 feet of weeds and straw. The best part It was on the eco mode. So this mower has super power and I never needed it on the heavier power mode. The bagger works like a charm I have a Mountain of grass in the woods. Thank you...

I brought my lawn mower here and paid the $40 deposit, they said they will call me if they discover a part needs to be ordered or anything else needs to be done besides a standard tune up because that will cost additional. I call a week later the guy says it's on hold but he doesn't know why so he gotta call me back.
