The place is small with only three tables, but the atmosphere is interesting, as the walls are lined with comic strips and newspaper articles. The person working was friendly and let me sample a couple of flavors. I went with a small mango dish for $5.84 pre-tax, which is a bit expensive compared to other places. Also, note that the smallest size is actually a junior—it’s listed on the menu, but I was only looking at the size display, and the junior dish wasn’t labeled like the other dishes, so I didn’t notice it. The mango was more of a frappe by the time I got home, but it was deliciously creamy. However, it tasted (and looked) more like an orange creamsicle with a very subtle hint of mango—definitely would not be my first guess were I to blindly taste this flavor. I wish they offered house-made cones, as that’s something I look forward to when finding new ice cream shops, but, nevertheless, this was a satisfying dessert despite the price.

I love places like this. The Ice Creamsmith has clearly been an institution for longer than I have been alive, with pictures and news clippings decorating the walls from long before I was born. Their ice cream is all made in house, which we sampled pure to check its quality before ordering. I am a big fan any time the staff gets to share their favorites, so I had to get one of those reccomendations. It just so happened that after picking Eric's reccomended vanilla malt milkshake that we found out Eric himself would be the one to make it for us. I can confidently say the milkshake was delicious, and that I only wished that I had had more to drink of it despite its large size (this is more of a testament to how good it was). I think this is the kind of locally owned place with high quality product and enthusiastic staff that is worth going out of your way to visit.

When I first went to this place, the air and feeling of this place was nice. Its small but is still a great place to hangout with a friend or two for ice cream. Surprisingly, it was a bit crowded when I got there at around 8 pm. The staff working there was very fast and efficient at their job. They were also nice too. I got sweet cream with Reese's mix ins and it was SO good. You could chose any mix ins you want in the list as well which is pretty cool. The texture and taste of the ice cream was delicious and the Reese's added a great touch of flavor. It just left me wanting more even though I already had a good amount of ice cream. I really recommend coming here for some excellent ice cream with a fair price!

Depends on what matters to you…

Ice Cream. 4* …….if you’re willing to pay the high price.

Customer Service. 0* …..one girl specifically. However some are nice, respectful, and polite. (I’m old school with no tolerance for very poor customer service.)

Pricing 0*. Be wary Every time i have gone- over a dozen + this year ( a lot bc my husband likes this ice cream), we get the same order (2 large with mixings side cone (pricing is always diff between $1-$2). Tonight was $20 and change.

Question to owner, if customer waits up to 30mins for an order- most of which invlove mixins, why ex are jimmies ‘not allowed’ to be mixed in- Absurd! Ive ordered and recvd them mixed in multiple times. And several times recently Ive been told it is not allowed

Bottom Line. Customer service is more important than the ice cream here, because Brighams and Tillamook in your local grocery store are equally as good. Small business owner supporter- as long the service is appropriate. Ill spend my money elsewhere...
