BRED - Lower Mills — Restaurant in Boston

I’m one for supporting black owned businesses but this place disappointed ☹️ me today (12/30/21). But I guess I’ll start off nice I ordered my food online and they said it would be ready at 4:10 but moments later I received a message that the food would be ready at 3:45. I arrive and miraculously I found parking in the front.

Now…. I get in and a customer is picking up his order but the lady at the counter I can by her body language a- she didn’t want to be there, b- she had/having a bad day or c- just waned to go home. Once the man picks up his food and leaves I noticed that she mumbled something under her breath ( I was unable to make out what she said) to the employee next time her and rolled her eyes after the customer left that was before me in line.

Ok now it’s my turn clearly she still has an attitude. I told her my name and she gave me my order. I said thank you and her response was “ yup”. My eyebrows raised and I’m saying to myself did she just say “yup”. Ok well there’s goes your tip, Because I’m very aware the restaurant business is struggling BUT her attitude she displayed after the customer before me left and her saying “yup” after I said thank you made me rethink your tip and therefore I put my dollars that I was going to tip them back in my wallet.

Now I get home and ready to eat. My burger was extremely salty I couldn’t even finish it and end up throwing it in the trash.

For the small hidden jewel it was a long wait but definitely worth it the food was so good fresh and well seasoned I didn’t want to stop eating.. I ordered the Kodak BLAT without the avocado and it was delicious also ordered the honey Garlic Chicken wings and good thing I got the large 12 size because it was delicious it was just done the outside was crispy and it had a spicy unexpected kick but it was hard too put down with the sticky honey around my mouth I also dipped my golden brown onion rings in the honey garlic sauce even though it came with its own dipping sauce between that and the sweet potato fries everything was very good I was glad to take a nice to go container home even though it was a small space I still sat and ate they deserve a bigger space most definitely and I will most likely be coming back to try more items on the menu because those truffle fries look really crispy and tasty so yes please go visit them as soon as you open the door your greeted with a smile and...

I had super high expectations for this place and its hamburgers due to the ads, reviews, channel 5 commercials etc. Unfortunately in the reality, is not like that. This place is the original location in Dorchester and it has a nice atmosphere and music. However, you cannot taste the flavor in any hamburger; to be a hamburger place, the beef Patty is so thin and tasteless. Price value: is not worth it. 12 dollars for a spicy hamburger. I asked for some ice and the lady in the lady in the front replied: "I'm sorry we don't have ice here". So, this is the 1st food business I've ever seen that doesn't have or use ice. The only good item and meal was the sweet chili fries with wings which cost more that a regular hamburger. I expected more of this place, my first experience wasn't good and I would not...
