maX it PAWN — Local services in Minneapolis

I came in with a brand new pair of what I thought was AirPod Pro. Second generation definitely thought they were real. Was just curious to see what I could get for them since I don’t ever use them this young gentleman named Alex helped me at the counter. He literally held them for about five seconds and said nope these are fake go get a second opinion I was like nowhere these fake. I looked up the serial number on Apple and everything. It was a real serial number. Everything looked super legit so I was like you know what I am gonna go get a second opinion sure enough I went to another pawnshop down the road and they to confirmed they were fake because each Earpod and the case are supposed to have different serial numbers and they all had a matching serial number. Let’s just say I left shook these looked super legit. They were in the plastic wrap the box everything I’ve never had a pair before so I really couldn’t tell the difference. I purchased a laptop (199) about a week ago and bought their warranty for 16.00 extra dollars, in case there were any issues with it within 30 days i could return it. I purchased this solely to write essay papers for school, i didn't even hook up internet on it. It would lag and freeze up on me just by using word. When i brought it in today to return it, they would do a return but only for store credit. I was dealing with "Chris" the "manager" of the store who didnt seem to give two shits. We would happily have accepted store credit if we could use that credit to get our iPad on loan out but they wouldn't allow that either. He told me he could buy back our laptop for 80.00 and that was all he could do. Its complete bullshit. This pawn store will have now bought this laptop back 3 times, and will do it again when the next person buys it for their 100.00 mark up. What a scam. Will get my iPad out and will never return. Dissapointed with the way Manager Chris handled himself. He told us his business hasn't made any profit in the last three months. Some of these reviews are insane! Racist?! There are usually less white people working than other ethnicities! I visit this location frequently and it is hands down the best Maxit Pawn and it's also my favorite pawn shop in the Twin Cities. I can understand if people are disappointed when they find out their items are less valuable than they anticipated but I've seen customers act like children over the smallest things! The new manager (I forget his name but he's easy to spot with a beard and tattoos) makes it a fun and he isn't condescending or judgemental like many of the other places I've been. I don't necessarily get along with every employee that works there and the line can be unpredictable but It's the same at all of the Maxit Pawns. As a retail employee, I'm willing to bet that has more to do with their payroll budget because it's not logical to believe that these employees actually enjoy it when there's a long line. It's a great location and as with anywhere you go, the experience can vary. I mean, the $1 DVD's alone make it...
