Food Lion — Local services in Mint Hill

I came to this location on 05/19 and my cashier was Nancy an older lady who was flat out disrespectful.. we were waiting for her to stop gossiping about a customer TO a customer.. and was making comments about how nobody pays attention. We did not see a dividing stick and the customer infront of us had one item left. We started putting our stuff on the belt in the back and Nancy was not paying attention and started scanning our items with the customers order in-front of us. Nancy then went out of her way to tell us “there is a divider for a reason so this doesn’t happen” in the most ridiculous rude tone. We apologized and said that we didn’t see a divider she then proceeded to keep gossiping to the customer that people don’t pay attention. When the customer in front of us left Nancy did not speak to us and did not even tell us our total at the end she was constantly rolling her eyes during the whole transaction. I had a terrible experience at this Food Lion location. I stood in line for over 6 minutes and not one employee acknowledged me. Even the workers stocking shelves didn’t bother to step in or offer to ring me up. When I finally did get to the register, the cashier was extremely rude and unprofessional. She threw my items into the bag carelessly, and after checking me out, she actually made an “eww” sound right in my face while waving her hands, as if I was beneath her.

Her behavior felt very discriminating and completely unacceptable. Customers deserve respect, acknowledgment, and basic professionalism. I will also be posting about this experience on social media, because no one should ever be treated this way. I sincerely hope management takes this situation seriously and addresses it...

People who work here are mostly rude, especially in the deli. They have no consideration for people’s time & if you ask them when something will be put out, they make the wait even longer. I bought a rotisserie chicken in the bag & didn’t realize until I got home that there was a sticker on the other side that says “choose your entrée and 2 sides”. I called back to ask if I could get the 2 sides and they said no because they would have to have rung it up together. I said well you can refund this one and ring up the two sides with it and they said no. Most places would be honest and do the right thing, but obviously they don’t care about that here.
