I do reviews in a couple of different places. I don’t get anything from posting other than satisfaction if somebody agrees with my recommendation and if it helps.
We have so many fabulous places to visit we are blessed.
Here is a local one - I cannot believe I’ve lived in North Carolina all these years and only recently went to the Mint Hill farmers market. At least I think that’s what “I” call it.
Please, if someone else has more details share here so that I don’t speak out of turn.
However, we went last Saturday and it’s now our favorite place every week to visit!!!!!!
We purchased the most amazing cheese bread (oh my god this thing was so freaking heavy, but to heat it up and eat it? It was beautiful and such an experience of foodie comfort! FYI? My fiancé made homemade croutons out of the end of the bread so that nothing went to waste and it did not disappoint!)
I tasted some blueberry biscotti, we got to talk to some fabulous people about local history and everybody seemed to have a seat at the table.
There was a mix of small locals with just a couple of things to sell, and then there were some farms that had more to sell. However, all of it in my opinion from what I saw was very very affordable. It was very reasonable.
If you’re in the Mint Hill area, if you’re looking for something fun to do? Take a drive over!
This farmers market, and by the way that’s my label: farmers market, I’m not sure if it’s some thing else.
We talked to some of the historians that support the area and there’s so many cool places to visit!
An older gentleman actually took the time to talk to us and explain about the mill. OK folks, I’m calling it a Mill, it’s a stone in the ground but you really need to ask about the story of how it got there. So cool!
Please please please take a drive over and take a quick look at everything.
Oh!!! look at the venue! How cool is this building??
It’s the newest wooden building, but I held my phone up to the doors to take pictures and it looks like you can use the venue for weddings, dinners etc.
OK I know this is super long so I’m just gonna stop here. Take a drive over on a Saturday morning.
Totally worth it, I don’t know and I cannot attest to whether or not somebody from the historical society is there every Saturday?
However, we were lucky enough to talk to a gentleman and it was just a great experience.
OK lastly, lastly, look at the video I posted of the musicians. Holy cow, how cool is that!
I have to tell you just standing there listening to them was a treat. To be able to sit with a cup of coffee and maybe a piece of homemade biscotti from one of the vendors? Truly I feel like this is a very quaint and enjoyable experience for anybody local.
We WILL be back each...

Read moreThis is a great little farmers market but the parking situation is abysmal. There is very little street parking, and the nearby businesses will have employees sit outside and forbid you from parking in their empty lots. (I would be willing to pay a small fee for parking for 10 minutes...) But anyway, the market itself is wonderful, it’s just as good as the one...
