ALLEGRO Home Entertainment — Local services in Mishawaka

I have been wanting to do a DIY project on a new media room in my basement for the last several years. My project is finally underway, so I've been back and forth to Allegro many times investigating AV equipment, changing my mind 10+ times, getting more advice, and picking up my equipment.

I have a relationship with one specific guy at Allegro, Joel, who has worked with me since the beginning. I was a little worried that since I was doing this DIY I wouldn't get as much help from Allegro, but this has not been the case. Joel, and frankly anyone I talk to when Joel isn't around, has been more than helpful and more than knowledgeable.

My new media room will be a 11-speaker setup along with amps, processor, rack, TV, and even really nice lighting. I bought all of this through Allegro.

If you are serious about your AV equipment, Allegro has what you need. I was a bit shocked at how much this stuff costs these days, but I have done a ton of research and Allegro's prices are right in line with what you'll find anywhere else. What you'll get from Allegro that you won't get at some online stores is personal consultation, emails after hours, texts after hours, etc.

The only thing I wish I could change about Allegro is the 45-minute drive from my house. This is a great store and I'm very happy spending my money with people who are...

I walked in here on sort of a whim while looking to upgrade my home theater. I wasn't sure if it was a custom install place or retail or what and when I walked through the doors and saw 10s of thousands of dollars of McIntosh equipment I thought I was in the wrong place (I wanted high end but not that extreme). I was helped by a guy who happened to be the accountant and had limited knowledge but he did his best since all sales people were gone. We went to the listening room where there where speakers ranging from affordable up to the extreme. He entertained my ears best he could and I was unsure about it all until the owner came in. The owner was EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgable. I was there a good couple hours at least and they never once tried to force me to buy anything or push me out the door. I was only looking into a set of speakers and not 10s of thousands of dollars of equipment for theaters or my mansion or custom install but they took all the time in the world and treated me in the same manner the would a millionaire client (or so it felt like). I visited allegro to just ask a simple question about amplifier recommendations for a set of headphones, and my fiancé and I were given the most amazing treatment by Joel! It was our first time stopping in the store and he gave us an amazing tour of some of the audio equipment they carry, and some fantastic demonstrations. You can tell Joel is passionate about everything they sell, and extremely knowledgeable on pretty much anything you would need. He gave me some fantastic recommendations for what I should look for and pointed me in the right direction. I’ll definitely be coming back in for any other things I may need and HIGHLY recommend that anyone looking for home audio equipment should stop in and see what they have to offer. Be prepared though, after hearing some of the highest end equipment they have, you might not ever want to get anything else.
