The food is great. We go to the one in Granger. It's always been nice until this afternoon. This lady(I don't know if she is the owner or an employee) started pray cleaning all the tables while we were eating around 4pm. We were the only ones there and we only stayed for about 20min having a snack(casava fries). We were sitting by the divider so there was a table right next to us but she just sprayed cleaning solution all over the place. My 6 year old daughter put her mask back on while she was eating because of it. I felt very uncomfortable so I communicated my concerns. She said sorry and she kept cleaning the whole restaurant. She eventually came around again and started cleaning the table right behind me. That's when we got up and left. I felt disrespected. We are not going abck there. The food is good but I'm not going to a restaurant and pay to get treated that way.

This is my response to the owners response to my original post. I've worked as a waitress and I know the peak time, cleaning procedures, and everything else. Of course everybody wants to be safe and everything has to be sanitized, especially at this uncertain times. But what your employee did was nothing to do with that. It was just disrespectful and personal because she was spraying towards us when she was cleaning the table right next to us. She was spraying all over the place and it was so bad that my 6 year old daughter put her mask back on while she was still eating. When I expressed my concerns, she said sorry, she went on cleaning and came back around and started spraying right behind me and back again at the counter behind my daughter. Is this how your employees...

This restaurant was the least customer friendly restaurant I've ever been to in my life. The food was good. But the staff did not look you in the eyes and you could not hear past their masks. On the website it said the Cajun was the second hottest. On their menu at the restaurant Cajun was under medium so that's what I got thinking it would be less hot...omg was it ever hot. I even mentioned to the lady what it said on the website and she just kind of looked at me and said yes. They did not explain anything when we came in or welcome us. We ordered food feeling a little rushed and then we went to the table. When they brought out the food they did not give us any silverware and did not tell us where to find the silverware. None of the soda pops were priced. And honestly the rice was a little hard. The hanging lights throughout the dining room were awfully dusty. Also the bathrooms were not as clean as they could have been. The trash cans were large but overflowing. And you could tell things have not been wiped down for a while. Definitely need to do some cleaning and get some employees that are better in customer service. You should have someone to welcome people when they come in and explain how your restaurant works. I really hate writing bad reviews especially when the food is good and could be fantastic. Total bummer but we cannot...

I was incredibly disappointed in this place. I adore other restaurants of this type and was excited to try it but the experience was just bad.

The person at the register acted as if he would rather die than help me. I was so uncomfortable that I nearly walked out without ordering. I had never been there before so I asked for just a moment to look at the menu and he let out an annoyed sigh and slumped where he stood. He was reluctant to answer my questions and when he spoke to me it was in a short and impatient manner. I ordered and stepped aside to wait and it was longer than expected. The rice I ordered was lacking something, a freshness perhaps, had a very flat spice flavor (clove only? cumin only?), was slightly undercooked, and some bites were a bit crunchy. The chicken was tasty and the spicy sauce was yummy. The price was much higher than expected because I had a printed menu (which they still were giving out in store) from pre-pandemic times and the prices were lower then, but you wouldn't know that until you went in the restaurant.

Sadly, I won't return. If the service was good but the food was iffy, or vice versa, I would try again, but with both being poor, I won't return and cannot...

As good as it gets. We randomly stopped by this place to collect a to go order. We ordered a Falafel wrap and a paneer wrap. I was the last person- after which the shop closed. Usually the last orders aren’t prepared well and the portion size is usually small because restaurants tend to run out of food. This place absolutely defied both of the above. Both our wraps had a generous amount of filling. And both the wraps were DELICIOUS. Flip sides- Their medium hot is the real medium hot- unlike MOST restaurants that serve mil on the name of medium. Order yours accordingly. We loved it. They close at 8 PM. Wish they were open longer for late night cravings. They have an awesome variety of vegetarian/vegan options as well. It took them 15 minutes or less to have my order ready- perhaps because it wasn’t crowded. All in all great food, great selection of menu items and great service.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Port of peri peri, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The chicken dish I ordered was not only delicious but also cooked to perfection. The blend of flavors was outstanding, and it left me wanting more. Moreover, the atmosphere at the restaurant was truly remarkable. The ambiance was inviting and comfortable, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The attention to detail in the decor and layout added an extra touch of elegance to the overall dining experience. Based on my exceptional visit, I wholeheartedly recommend the Port of peri peri to anyone seeking a culinary adventure that tantalizes the taste buds and provides a wonderful ambiance. It's a place where great food and a fantastic atmosphere come together to create a truly unforgettable dining outing.
