Holiday Wine & Liquor — Local services in Mission

Great liquor and beer selections of things that are hard to find in the DFW area. Always make it a point to visit at least the Edinburg and McAllen stores when we are there. The bad thing? The last time I was there, I bought about six bottles of wine from two of their locations and ALL of them had cork taints or faults of some type and had a similar experience the year before. I made an attempt to contact the store twice and receive NO phone calls back of any kind. I think I know what I'm talking about (I have about 1,200 bottles of wine in my collection). So, they may treat their liquor well and I MIGHT continue to buy rarities with regards to liquor when we are visiting, but there is something inherently wrong with the way this local chain stores, receives, and transport wine from one location to the next so BEWARE any wine...

Wide selection, semi helpful staff. Upon entering the establishment, you are stared at as though you have violated some sort of invisible border separating the contents of this store from the world as we know it. 😂.

In all seriousness, one out of six employees greeted me as I entered and then gave me a perplexing look when I asked to see what the balance on a gift card was.

Continuing onward, I asked for assistance in selecting a sweet flavored wine and was provided all of 60 seconds of attention.

Upon checkout I wasn't told thank you by the cashier but the door was held open by an associate on the way out.

Nowadays this expectation of customer service and a welcoming sense of patronage isn't so common and it is apparent at this place...

Great place to buy beer, liquors, wine and cigars. But the best part about going to this store is the staff that works here. I've gone when they are busy but they always are fully staffed. The employees that work here are always friendly and go out of there way assist you. If your not sure what to buy but you have a craving for something they have great recommendations I've tried new wines and spirits recommend and have enjoyed every one. The only thing I'd like is that they stock up on blantons bourbon they never seem...
