La Curva Taqueria, Mission Tx. — Restaurant in Texas

So... we ate a late lunch. Didn't feel like something heavy for dinner. Didn't feel like cooking either. Hubby says: "Let's try that new taco place around the corner. You know, the one by the new Shipley's Donuts." Me: "Sounds good"! So off we went to La Curva Tacos on Griffin Parkway (495 and Taylor Rd.) in Mission. We walked in and the first thing I noticed is that it smells clean. No rancid grease smell. The floor is clean, the tables are clean. We walked up to the counter and checked out the menu. Several kinds of tacos; no enchiladas, fajitas, botanas. Just tacos. The food came to the table quickly and I could see the steam rising from the plate. We had the Tacos Al Pastor which came with a cup of very tasty beans. There were 5- 4" corn tortillas topped with diced, grilled pork. On the side were the grilled onions and chopped cilantro. Toss those on top of the meat and sprinkle on a little juice from a fresh cut lime wedge and red or green sauce and we were ready to dive in. Excellent tacos! The meat was not greasy or fatty and the tortillas were warmed but not drowning in oil. The cilantro was freshly chopped, not wilted. The limes were freshly cut, not dried out. The well seasoned meat was being grilled as it was ordered not scooped out of a warmer. And we had to stir the beans around a little to let them cool off so we could eat them. We'll definitely eat at La Curva again. Next time I think I'll try the sincronizada tacos, but I had better be really hungry! Rating: 5...

Went there on Monday when they have the 4.99 special. Seems to me that their meat is of lower qualiy than during the regular prices (been here before), I noticed and my daughter said the same .The baked potaoe had very little meat (4.99). They also forgot one of my orders. so i asked the server about it, after 5 or 10 min. i got up and told them again about it. They said they were on it. I needed to be somewhere else soon so I said that I just wanted my refund on that order. They came back ten minutes later stating that they could not refund order that the manager said they could not. Wow, they are willing to take bad reviews for 4.99. Never coming back here.How desperate can you be for 5 bucks .They did tell me that i could use the reciept for another day, for whatever...

Definitely drop your money somewhere else. Went through drive thru and had me park in the back and wait for my order which smelt like dumpster from the surrounding businesses. Ended up ordering a papa especial and sincronizada came with some over seasoned finely chopped mystery meat which tasted low quality with a lot of tendon still present. Beans that came with the order had about 1/4 of beans in the cup and the rest with bean water. They tossed the lemons and the tostadas into a brown paper bag with the rest of the food and couldn’t even put them in foil or a little bag. Cilantro was also old and you can tell from the semi dried texture it presented. Keep driving past...
