Truly Madly Depot has been on my list of places to visit for quite a whileâ I first heard of them through TikTok back in May, and was thrilled to see they were localish to me in the KC area! Weâre a bit further north, and theyâre down in OP, so I hadnât gotten the chance to visit down there yet, but my family & I were taking a lil mini vacation before school starts back up again and I made them come in with me so I could go check it out. And honestly, we all found something (multiple things! đđ ) we liked! Ugh this store is SOOO CUUTE. I absolutely love it. Kimberly was working when we visited, and can I just say, she is the sweetest. She was so pleasant and helpful! Absolutely welcoming and just treated us like old friends. Was such a terrific experience. There was so much more Iâd love to have bought, so I KNOW Iâll be back! Best of luck w your bookstore, and Iâll be eagerly waiting on news in the future for that Northland location! đ

And novelty gifts too, not the ones youâve probably already seen a million times, and not the ones that are heavily curated for you (went to May Day after and it was cute but there wasnât much there for journalers), but truly unique finds, something for everyone! I came here because Iâm getting into journaling and oof spent way too much but have no regrets. They actually have a wall of pens and stickers and washi tape. The manager said theyâre opening a book and coffee shop next door (omg legends and lattes vibes? say less) and will host book clubs and journaling clubs! Also said they got approved to sell Hobonichis!!!!?! That would make them the only Hobonichi shop in KC which Iâm thrilled about as I just had to order from St Louis. Well done TMD! This place is loudly queer friendly, not just âyâall means allâ stickers. Thank you for existing....

I was right, from the moment we walked in and were greeted by their employee of the month, Dolly, an adorable Japanese Chin puppers, we knew this little shop would be a delight. We did a lot of Christmas shopping and I was able to find perfect unique gifts for so many people on my list, and of course had to get a couple items for myself. My daughter was with us and saw something she "needed" but I made her wait till after Christmas. Today we went back and she bought "Gerald" the grouchy snail. If you like unique little shops and supporting local businesses, I highly suggest giving this...
