Uodate: this would be the 3rd time this has happened. But I have been overcharged. Because they don't have scanners or details on the itemized receipts, it's difficult to show what item they overcharged you for, but it has added up. Usually it's on sale items that are on end caps and they charge you about twice of that the sale price is. It's a little frustrating when you're supposed to trust that they know the price and they charge you a different price than advertised.

This is what you would call a salvage grocery store, discount grocery store, or grocery surplus store. Some decent deals to be found, but there are some that are fairly equivalent to big brand retailers. Just keep in mind that some items may be opened, some may be expiring soon, and one may already be expired. For refrigerated items, some items may have been left out of a freezer or refrigerator for a period of time so make sure you get them back in the fridge as soon as you get home, So as long as you're good with the condition of products you're buying and the expiration date, you will understand why the price can be pretty good. Aside from the products, the people who work here are nice and courteous. If you're a regular, they will remember you and say hi every time...

There's been some mention about this store selling expired food and improper handling of food. Expired food means the food has been labeled with an expiration date. This store mostly sells food with a Best Buy date which is a completely different thing. I've been going to this store for years and it has great food and unbelievable prices! I have never purchased anything from this store that had an expiration date that was past the printed date. Furthermore I have worked in the food industry for many years and I have never seen any unsafe handling of food take place at this business. People should do their homework before they start throwing out...

My buddy lives in Patterson he turned me on to this place they have so many bargain Bargains Galore oh I drive all the way down here from the Bay Area Kensington to be exact that's right those are you don't know where changing is up in the hills in between Berkeley in El Cerrito take me out so I lived it now. You would have promised land but I come all the way down here to go shopping it's worth it and visit my friend in Patterson that we come on in Modesto yes it's worth the wait is worth the dry the the money that you save is worth the gas to get down here I just can't even keep going that's right that's right Bargains Galore bargain...
