Wow people, trust the negative reviews! This company and their employees are HORRIBLE! Samsung gave me a "free" service repair which was under warranty anyway. Samsung sent Tekniton the service tag and we scheduled an appointment. Gilberto called before he arrived and asked what the issue was. I told him the issues and told him that Samsung was taking care of this issue one time so to please fix the fridge so I didn't have to deal with the other HORRIBLE company Samsung again.Gilberto shows up, opens the fridge and looks at the ice maker, then literally rips the bottom plastic insulated cover off breaking all the plastic clips and throws it in our kitchen sink saying "this is broken". My wife standing there and watched him break it, but we didn't make a fuss about it because we were under the impression that he was going to replace the ice maker anyway. He then gets on video chat with Samsung for 2 hours so they can document the issues. By this time he was frustrated which I understand dealing with Samsung has been a nightmare. He finally gets off the chat and explains that Samsung will be contacting us and did not do any work on the fridge. I understand that they have to play by Samsung's rules but as my wife was trying to talk with him about what had happened, he puts his hand up, "as a nonverbal shut up" and goes on to explain that he is not actually allowed to work on the fridge around chemicals due to some personal reasons. He scribbles notes on a work order that we cannot read, to see what he even did and left without us knowing what happened or was going to happen. He threw the plastic piece that he broke back into the bottom of our ice tray and left treating my wife like she was to stupid to understand and he would contact the husband which he never did. After contacting Samsung a few dozen times, they stated that the ice maker was damaged and therefore they refuse to not only fix the ice maker itself, but the main problem of the fridge not cooling. So basically all we can conclude is Gilberto damaged the ice maker before he was on video chat, so it was not documented and if they even feel like anyone has touched the fridge, they will refuse to fix the problem all together, even under warranty. I read all the horrible reviews, but this was Samsung's choice of repair service. So we can speculate that this is their game , to damage part of the fridge and then service would be denied. Like I said, speculation but exactly what happened. My wife called Gilberto to discuss why he said the ice maker was broken and why he ripped the tray off, he was rude and lied about damaging it and then hangs up on her. Ron was the first technician and he was very nice but we had an issue with my fridge being damaged however he was nice. The second technician was Mike he was exceptional and was kind to my home and understanding of my issues with the whole situation. Poor Mike who was the last tech didnāt really have a chance. I think because no one wants to take responsibility for a refrigerator that keeps shutting down and Iām losing hundreds of dollars of food and in this inflation time food is truly expensive He got all the frustration and it was not his fault but his unprofessional remark was his fault which escalated an already bad situation. Mike fixed the issue and i really canāt say the company is bad a little inexperienced on how to handle issues with consumers who have had multiple repaired Is where they need to work on. Looking out for the consumer and not the manufacturer. But itās about money for some I didnāt have to pay out of pocket for that Iām grateful. We all need to calm down and be more understanding of the other one. Please donāt tell people to ignore the negative comments because you were not there.l in their situation. Tekniton should have declared this refrigerator defective and requested a replacement, period. Three times the same issue? Itās not their fault itās Samsungās fault. Iām thankful they each came and fixed my problem but wished they would have provided reasons and suggestions to the manufacturer to better serve the customers and boost their moral in business. If I take my car to a good mechanic they will assess the problem if its correctable or notify me to junk the car and get a new one, but a shister will take your money time after time knowing itās only going to keep breaking down so he can get that money. I looked up the company and saw itās 1 star reviews, I became hesitant, did I just sign up for more trouble? Well the day of the appointment came, my technician āRonā was here on time. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He told me it would take an hour or so to replace the rusted top but it took him no more than 45 minutes. He told me a small piece he had did not fit this older model washer and he would come back in a week or so to drop off the piece when he had it. The washer wash fixed with the new top but was missing the cover for the area you pour bleach in. No big deal, 2 days later I got a text from Ron saying he had the part and could be here in 10 minutes. I happily agreed and I took him 2 minutes to pop the piece on.
All in all, my experience with Samsung and this company was 20/10. Huge thank you to Ron, I can tell he cares about his job and customers. Ron thank you for taking this stressful situation of almost having to buy a new washer and fixing the washers rusty top. I used the washer more than a handful of times and it works perfectly. Even looks brand new! No complaints from me. Very satisfied.
