We were a party of 10 and we were seated at a long table in the back area. It was a spacious area with just two long parties. There were some entertaining billboards that would change quotes throughout our seating. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. He even heard that to people or not that happy with their drink, and offered to change them. Because it was such a hot weather out it was a perfect time for their frosé drinks. They had a strawberry lemonade, or a jalapeño peach. Since we were going to dinner afterwards, we did not order much food, but we did try a few appetizers liked the whipped feta and olives and almonds, and bruschetta which were well presented and tasty. My friend was also able to borrow a stapler because her she had melted in extreme heat as we had walked over. The front of the restaurant was very busy. Would recommend coming here again. The restrooms were in the hallway between the front area and in the back area. I’m at the ceiling as there’s more to see!

I love that this cafe is a tribute to the owner’s dad, the famous climber Royal Robbins! Damon creates a friendly and relaxed atmosphere inspired by Yosemite’s Camp 4. Food was very tasty and well presented. Staff is great! We had Vegan Poke and a Mushroom Panini with salad, and split a local hazy IPA plus a chocolate panini for dessert (oops, I was trying to avoid white flour and sugar). Maybe I was just being a dumb driver, but I had a hard time finding how to enter the lot. You must approach on Needham and take an immediate Right before O St. into the parking lot before you can see the restaurant signage. Yes, The Annex is part of the Cafe. Actually, you’re supposed to enter on 10th (a one-way street) but Google maps directed me down Needham.

Heard so much about this place, especially the peach habanero Pinot frezzio! Drink did not disappoint. What did tho was the service. We walked in and barely anyone inside and the lady asked how she may help us.. like umm get a table? She said ok but you have to be gone by 7, I said ok we have dinner reservations elsewhere we were just stopping by for a drink but she didn’t need to be rude. We had an appetizer and some drinks and it was good. Such small space tho, everyone felt crammed inside. We don’t like wine so we just came for the frezzio, not sure if we’ll be back tho we were not very welcomed there.

I've dined here multiple times for different occasions - with small groups & big groups. This place is perfect for both. They have a bigger dining area in the back as well as outdoor seating so don't let the initial restaurant entrance fool you - there is ample seating.

The menu hasn't changed too much since the first time I've come here but I will make this review about my most recent visit.

I met up with a friend to catch up & we just walked in, no reservations made on a Saturday afternoon & were seated immediately.

I ordered the Lo-fi Spritz & it was so refreshing - perfect for a warm day! and after a long day of thrifting ;)

For food, I ordered a Portobello Panini. DELICIOUS! Especially the chipotle mayo - BOMB! I only ate half of the panini, so I had leftovers to take home.

I've had the seasoned local almonds before & they were a good starter. It's nice to snack on while waiting for your entree.

The first thing I ever ordered here is the Grilled Cheese Panini & I wasn't a big fan of it. I think it was too much cheese so I always opt for my go-to Portobello Panini.

Oh! Their Froze is super popular & I've had it before - it's pretty good. You have to try it just once, if anything.

The service here is always great. The staff is so friendly & professional.

One of my go-to places in Modesto if anyone from out of town...

We have enjoyed Camp 4 cafe's food and drinks several times. The food and wait staff are sheer perfection!! UNFORTUNATELY -- last night we had a horrible experience!! when the MANAGER (she identified herself as such) ran our card -- she stated, "I was busy talking" and I ran another guest's tab on your card. but the good news is that charge will drop off in a few days. WHAT THE HECK?? Our tab was well over a 100 bucks -- no hey, come back and have a chocolate panni on us, or we are comping your drinks -- nope! I am guessing she was confident that this temporary oopsie charge that will linger ALL WEEKEND --would have zero affect on our weekend plans -- it of course does NOT, but seriously??? we will be holding approximately about 100 of your dollars hostage for 72 hours -- thanks for coming in.. :) Maybe we should have "Offered" to take our tab home and return to pay it when her mistake "falls off" -- please go and eat there.. but make sure you remind the manager to STOP...
