Adding this after the owner's initial response (see below):
I only mentioned the time of day because I appreciated that I was able to be seen at all. I use my phone to login on my work laptop several times a day and frequently for travel directions. It's not a luxury for me, so when it stops working, it's something of an emergency. While I'd like to give you a higher review, on this count, I can't. The customer experience simply didn't warrant it.
Yes, I was informed that the inspection fee would be rolled into the price of a charge port replacement, but nobody told me that the repair done, in-store, might not work and that I'd have to come back for the port replacement. In fact, after my phone was taken to the back, which was only after I already paid, I was never told anything further of what was done to it - only that it was now fixed, though I wasn't shown this, and that the technician had "worked some magic". Even that explanation was only offered to me because I couldn't conceal my confusion and wariness at the "quick fix". I didn't have any means of validating the repair, either, so I came all the way home to find that it behaved no differently. I was left $50 poorer yet with no hope of resolution until next week, at the earliest, though I frankly wasn't likely to come back even had I been willing to wait.
Communication needs to have been better. The person who waited on me was terse to the point that I didn't feel it would be fruitful to question the repair. No follow-ups were recommended to me, nor was the atmosphere inviting enough to encourage them. If you want to tell me how I should have interacted with you, as you've so condescendingly taken it upon yourself to do, here, the time to do that would've been before I left your store.
I noted, when I gave my initial review, that you reply to many reviews - mostly the negative ones. I would caution you that these replies come across as defensive, even aggressive, and don't portray your business well. Accusing disgruntled customers publicly is a bad look, especially since I was in no way dishonest nor even particularly harsh. Everything I described in my first review happened, and I gave you what credit I could. You challenge my rating, but you've no control over my perspective nor any authority, frankly, to tell me or any customer how we should perceive the service we receive. I did not feel satisfied with the service I received, so you got a bad review. Owner's original reply:
I'm not sure how this warrants a 2-star review. We told you at check in that if your problem wasn't resolved we suggested to change the charging port. We also told you that your $50.00 paid would be carried to the price of the charging port. Instead of picking the phone up and calling and saying what you did Friday didn't work you would rather leave a review that will mis-lead other customer? If I could attach a photo this review I would show you all the debris I got out of your charge port area. You also failed to mention the gentelmen behind you that was next in line. Just because we close at 5:00 doesn't mean we walk out at 5:00. If that was the case we would have told you not to drive from 30 minutes away when you called at 4:15. I guess you don't need that charge port replaced since you just left a review and you'd rather do something like that than call to get the port itself replaced. My phone started having charging issues, despite that the cords I was using were aptly charging other devices. I replaced the battery successfully, but it still would not pick up a charge. I called here late on a Friday, and they were willing to see me. I rushed over there and paid $50 to have the phone inspected. After no more than 10 minutes, I was told it's working fine and sent on my way... The issue I'm having is somewhat sporadic and strange, so I can't fault the technician for not figuring it out, but the end result is nonetheless that I'm out $50+ and an hour's errand time and my phone still...
Read moreGreat service. Showed up at a random time. Told them I had a screen that needed replaced. You could see a small amount of lines flash when pushing the power button. They said they would have to order the screen. Took a few days. They got it in, fixed it up just perfectly. I told them to just take their time and I wasn't in a hurry to get it back since I have a work phone as well. It's like the phone never had a broken screen. Fantastic job. Courteous, quick process, and very reasonable priced.
I might be going back soon to have them look at the phone to see why the volume up button doesn't work but the lower volume does. May also have them change the charging port since it seems like it's slowly getting loose.
I went to the phone repair place in belle vernon by urgent care wirha phone a few years ago and they replaced a screen but then it ended up not working right a few weeks later so I had to just go buy a new phone.

Read moreI was devastated when Verizon couldn’t even figure out why my old iPhone was locking up and couldn’t transfer anything to the new phone. (They basically said I was S. O. L. “We’ve never seen this happen before!” 🙄 Great!) But, they did say to try this place … I was skeptical. But prayed that they could maybe get it to work. At least get my photos to transfer …
When I walked in, the scared butterflies in my stomach were met by two wonderful people. (They both made me feel like I was hanging out with old friends!) After some fiddling here, some tweaking there … lo and behold, the magic happened!!! He was able to get everything transferred over and the new phone working!
Great folks, great place, great price - WAY less than I was figuring it would be!! I hope my phone never gets stupid again, but if it dies, I know exactly where I’ll be going!! Thank you...
