Drop off for deer was a nightmare for my wife…pick up was about the same once I picked up! I normally do it but didn’t have time so I had my wife go for me…Tracey was rude right away and that didn’t sit well with my wife. My wife called me 25-30 mins later and was very unpleased and very mad due to that fact that she was trying to look at what I would want and Tracey told her to not “worry” about that until she filled out the paperwork. She then walks outside and Tracey is standing by the side door and said well honey I guess it’s you and I. Mind you my wife is in work clothes bc she is going after all of this. There was at least 4-5 guys there and my wife got blood all over herself and clothes and had to help drag deer inside until a guy came to help. Very unprofessional. Today 10-31-2024 I tried calling no one answered 3 times. I walk in and said I’ve been waiting over two weeks for my deer…is it done? They said yeah you got a text msg on the 23rd. Clearly did not. They proceeded to tell me I did and I even looked at my phone and there was not any text from them. It was even mark on the bill that it was sent. Just the date of notification nothing marked. Then I hear Tracy in the back office say any deer pick up we send a text message. They’ve never done that in the past so I don’t know when that changed, but was clearly not notified told them multiple times i was not notified. You would think if it was still sitting there in the freezer a week later they would give me a call and say hey not sure if you got our text message or not, but your Meats been sitting here since last week, Nothing they relied on a text message that never came through once again very unprofessional. She does not treat people very well. We take our hog there. We will be going elsewhere. We are not dealing with that place No more that place is not deserve business or my money when they don’t even treat you with respect if I could give this -5 stars, I definitely would because that’s what we got customers was very poor business each year seems like it just gets worse and worse pretty soon That place will be closed. Last but not least to show them I didn’t care about that place bc of how they treated my wife and lied to me about a text msg I left the black cart sitting in the parking lot instead of going in and dropping off. Sounds petty but it was better than what I wanted to do once I paid and got my meat. A BIG F YOU TO THAT PLACE!!! I WILL NEVER TELL ANYONE TO GO...

Last year, in the first week of November I had a buck butchered here. I usually don’t take my deer to the butcher in fear of the animal not being taken care of with the respect it deserves, but I have taken deer to butchers in a pinch when I don’t have time myself. I’ve always had good experiences. Till now. Over the last year I have found more deer hair in my meat than I ever would have expected. This place also does not trim literally any fat from these deer anywhere after the skinning process. This was made even more obviously apparent after pulling my past “roast” from the fridge today. I opened it to find thick layers of fat and thick silver skin all over the piece, basically just threw half a leg in the saw and packaged it. This was also the case with the steaks I got. For the price you pay here to get your deer well taken care of, it should be a crime for them to treat game like this. Any self respecting butcher wouldn’t package deer meat like that and any self respecting hunter should steer clear of butcher that WILL NOT RESPECT YOUR HARVEST!
Easy to say I will never be giving them my...

There were enough red flags at the beginning I blame myself for still dropping the deer off. The person taking my order down was rude and when I requested the “top round” for the 2 roasts I wanted he acted like this was an insane request. Surprise, I did not receive top rounds, only a random chunk of meat labeled as a roast. I received 18 lbs of ground, 2 small roasts, and 4 bags of steaks containing 4 pieces of 1 inch thick medallions. Roughly 25 lbs of meat (after being cut with a percentage of beef/pork fat that they couldn’t tell me) This was off 3.5 yr old doe as aged by DNR, typical yield for an animal if this size is roughly 40 lbs. 2 stars because from what I can see the meat I did receive is packaged well and appears to be clean. Not sure if they have inexperienced butchers or are in over their head, but under no circumstance...
