K-Ceps Service Center — Local services in Monroe Township

I hate writing negative reviews when friendly people are the target, but I will not and have not been back in 2 years. I had a parking brake come apart and their repair was to remove the parking brake stating they couldn't get parts. It's a manual transmission-based vehicle so that is not the end of the world. I liked them and figured it was odd but I could live with it. Later I had clutch problems. They replaced the clutch 3 or 4 times, even got me on a rebuilt transmission. I had them working on the flywheel and pilot barrings too. When the clutch broke again I gave up on them. I went to another garage. This time with lots of recommendations. They fixed it right the first time and it has worked for 2 years now with no issues. The problem seems to have been a broken bolt behind the flywheel! That and incorrect installation of clutch parts. I asked them to please be sure they know what they are doing because this is my baby...they assured me they could handle the repairs but they let me down on the clutch. I really liked these guys but I will never return after being ripped off like that. My transmission was heavy duty, I babied it and they sold me a rebuilt one I didn't need. That is BS. I was robbed. I also had my wife's car in for clutch problems and had the same thing 3 or so times...they don't know what they are doing. To the owner: please don't respond with "bring it in we'll make it right"...you guys had multiple chances...

Im from out of town so my car wasn't use to Ohio weather needless to say.. my radiator exploded i brought my car to Kceps because of the reviews. they did a great job i got a new radiator and thermostat.. 500 dollars kinda high but ok , now a few weeks later my car is heating up again and now they asking for $600 .. i have a older car so obviously i don't make an extra 1100 for auto repairs per month, so i declined the work.. the mechanic said it was a gasket, i took the car to another mechanic for a second opinion, they advised me that the particular gasket doesnt really ever need to be replaced, researched online.. same results.. so what to do??? also they hold ur car hostage for days.. the both times i visited this place i had to leave my vehicle for 3 days .. if they were busy they could've told me to come back i really need my vehicle and i cant afford to leave it one night let...

I’ve been using k-ceps for almost a year now and has been one of the best shops I’ve personally used and I’ve tried a lot out there. Has that small home town feel to it while still handling work and getting things done on time like the big name shops. I had a starter on one of my work trucks go out and it was in a customers driveway… tried to replace it there myself but the bolts were too rusted and stripped. Towed it to kceps and told Mike the issues and he said he would try his best. He called a couple weeks later bc I told him take his time and he had it done and for a very respectable price. I’ve since took another truck there and he fixed it and got another good price on the repair. I plan on taking anything I can’t tackle to Mike and his crew from now on, they do good work in a timely fashion and are...
