I am not sure why Jay Prandis has left such a negative review for this location. Back in 2011, I had worked at this Kumon location for ms. Rinku Kapur. Immediately following my departure for college, my younger brother began working here, and immediately following HIS departure, my younger sister began to work here as well. At no point in time has anyone with the name "Jay Prandis" worked at this establishment This review seems mean-spirited at best. Regardless, perhaps I am mistaken. Working at Rinku was a formative experience for my siblings and I, as it was one of the first jobs we all worked. Rinku has been a strong guide for us, as well as several friends of mine. She has consistently employed young, academically strong students from the area, and more often than not, those that work for her at Kumon have been past students who had been tutored at this very location. Working with Rinku allowed me to develop a solid foundation for the skills I have taken into the workplace today, and I have seen her maintain relationships with those that she has worked with well after they have moved onto new opportunities, and I still go back to see her to this day. She expected the best from her students and employees, but never made us feel as though our mistakes were any more than that, mistakes. Working at kumon was a great experience for my family and me, and I genuinely regretted not becoming a student in my childhood after having...
Read moreMy son (14) and my daughter (10) both attend Kumon Math and Reading Center or Monroe and are very happy with their services. The center has a great staff and an excellent program that has enabled my children to be well-prepared for school.
We signed my son up in the 4th grade when we started having trouble reading. They were able to catch him up, build his confidence, and after completing the program made him confident enough to be recommended for honors English in high school. We were so happy with the program we enrolled him in math a few months after and he's been in the honors track in math for high school as well.
My daughter had different issues, after Covid she fell behind in school for both math and reading. Since enrolling her in Kumon her confidence and competence in math have significantly improved to the point she has caught up to grade level.
All in all great staff, and a great program, I highly recommend it for anyone whose kids need to catch up in school or just want their kids...
Read moreAs a current worker for ms. Rinku at kumon for four years and being a student for several years prior, I have been able to develop my relationship with both ms.rinku and the facility itself. Therefore, reading jay prandis’s review has left me baffled, as they not only do not possess the audacity to use their real name but they also are sorely mistaken in their understanding of ms.rinku. When class is in session she is entirely objective with the students as her first priority. And since the actions of the staff directly impact the students, when a staff member underperforms or makes an error, ms.rinku needs to address the issue. It is not intended as public humiliation or disrespect and to be frank, jay prandis needs to get some tougher skin. Kumon is an excellent first job as ms.rinku is not only reasonable and understanding but genuinely cares about both her...
