This dealer changed the number (price of vehicle) at the top, so we ended up financing $4500 more than what the vehicle sale price was listed. They took are trade in and put down that they were paying it off BUT raised the sale price by $4500! This is a common dealer trick that dealerships have used forever! I made the mistake of not looking at the sale price because the dealership focuses on the payment! Be warned not to shop here! They will go over the paperwork while signing but they don’t point out the TOP number before taxes, fees and rebates! Bill was very rude and called me a “liar” and he also said “you’re reading too much into this”. He also said “the price online is the price after rebates” BUT I have been over the paperwork many many times and it doesn’t add up! Here are the numbers and tell me if I’m wrong!
MSRP $53,880 Online price $45,492 (Bill told me this was the price after rebates but it doesn’t add up!) especially after we got the truck for $3,000 cheaper than that price before tax and fees! Why are we so special! I’ve tried crunching numbers and it makes no sense!! Our price 49,742 Rebates $7250 Taxes $1636.28 Doc fees $250 Title fee $15 Registration $18.50
This truck had 3,000 miles on it (it was a loaner) and the dealer had it for who knows how long except them! But they also had a crew cab same everything else except it wasn’t the z71 package (like this one we got) and it was $43.998 GUESS WHAT?? They told me the bank said NO!! I’ve worked in the loan and lease department at Huntington Bank, there’s absolutely NO WAY the bank would turn that down UNLESS they submitted it for more maybe even on purpose (I believe they did this OR didn’t submit it at all! So we got a vehicle that had 3,000 miles on it (2018 Silverado) and it was supposed to be $45,492 and the other one which was a crew cab was $43,998 and we couldn’t get that one????!!!! Please!! So this dealer forced us into this one because it was a loaner and had 3,000 miles AND they probably had it longer than the other one we wanted, which if they have it more than a few months, they are forced by Chevrolet to pay interest on!!! How do you like that ?? Interesting but TRUE!! This dealership shouldn’t be in business and I’m sure this has happened to others without them knowing and will continue to do so in the future if you buy from them!!! Beware if you have a trade in and owe money on it, they will say they will pay it off, but really you are paying for it!!! $4500 is not a joke, they had previously offered 26,000 we owed $28,000, that’s only $2000 difference...
Read moreWe recently purchased a brand new 2025 Stingray Corvette with 2 miles on it on 8/7. After driving off the lot, approximately 4 miles we notice a strong smell of burring. We called Lash to explain the situation and we were told that everything was fine and that it was just the typical burn off smell. Perfectly normal 1500 mile break-in period. On our way back to GA we exited in Beckley, WV and at the stop light the check engine light came on and the message Creep Idle Mode displayed on the dashboard and the car started rolling backward. We got the car to the Chik-Fil-A parking lot and realized the transmission had blown out. At this point the car now had 444 miles on it and was now 31 hours old. We notified Onstar and had the car towed 60 miles away to the best rated Chevrolet dealership in central WV. As of today 8/19 our car is still in WV and were just recently told the new transmission would not be available until the second or third week of September. Lash Chevrolet called the following day to tell us that we needed to call Chevrolet and they would be dealing with the situation. Chevrolet is playing games, and the dealership in the middle of WV is caught in the middle. Chevrolet just told us today that they would call us sometime next week. Per Ohio lemon law Chevrolet/Lash Chevrolet have 30 days to correct the issue. The clock is ticking 12 days left. All we want is a buy back and/or the transmission replaced. UPDATE 9/2: Spoke with Chevrolet again today (this was probably the 12th time if not more we have called) requesting a buyback. We explained to Chevrolet that Lash Chevrolet should have made this right by going to Northside Chevrolet in Summerville, WV, towing the vet to Lash and replacing the transmission. Chevrolet said today they are reaching out to Lash to do the buyback which they have two days to respond. Unfortunately Northside Chevrolet is stuck in the middle of this entire situation which is unfortunate. I will say this is that Northside has gone above and beyond to make this situation right by waiting for their certified mechanic to work on our car, communicating with us for updates, and keeping our car secure. Lash Chevrolet in Johnstown, Ohio needs to make this situation right. Thursday 8/4 will be exactly one month since this situation occurred and we have not heard a word from Lash on their solution to making this situation right. Well Lash the ball is in your court and it’s time to make this situation right. We’ve already made our first payment on a car we only got to drive for 31 hours...
Read moreJust wanted to say thank you for offering me your ultimate warranty 2 years ago when I purchased my 2017 Platinum Toyota Tundra from you. I bought my last Tundra used also with about 85k miles on it and drove it daily until about 280k miles when I bought my "new" one from you.
Just recently I had all my warning lights come on out of the blue and found out that it was the right rear wheel bearing and speed sensor. I took it to a local Toyota dealer where I also asked them to check out a noise coming from the engine that it had when I first bought it from you which I didn't think much about until I realized other 2017 Tundras did not sound like mine. Found out that it was a bad alternator pulley and that I also had a very small pinhole in my water pump that wasn't terrible but leaking a small trail of coolant that hadn't been enough to make it to the ground but an issue nonetheless. After the dealer told me repairs were going to run me almost $4k I remembered that I purchased the 4 year 48k mile ultimate warranty from the Lash through Protective Asset Protection for just over $2k for my $40k truck. I couldn't remember the name of the warranty company and the paperwork was at the dealer in the vehicle so I called Lash to get the info. It was later in the day and the warranty company was closed so out of curiosity I looked up Protective on the internet and was worried about some of the reviews I found. The next day I called Protective and they verified my policy and told me to give the dealer the info which I did. The dealer called me back the next day and, to his amazement and mine, said that, after sending them the diagnosis of the problems and costs, that everything was covered by the warranty. I picked my truck up today and after paying my $100 deductible, was told everything was quickly paid for by credit card from Protective this morning. $3745 and I still have 2 years and 25k miles left on my warranty coverage!
Thank you Lash Chevrolet for selling me a quality warranty and backing up what you sell. I realize that neither of us has a crystal ball when taking in or buying a used vehicle but I'm really impressed by the quality of the warranty company you choose to back up what you sell and wanted to thank you both for doing right by me! Thanks...
