Visited Ulta today as a new client for a cut and color, and am rating 2/5 due to the uncomfortable environment created by Tanna, both through treating her staff and myself poorly, causing me to omit an entire service and lose Ulta the extra business.
My full experience: I had a request for semi permanent color, and my stylist Amy worked hard to try to find the best color but needed some advice to make sure it was perfect! Tanna came in for assistance and appeared very angry and agitated both at myself and her staff, and without asking what I was looking for, she told Amy to use a certain color and seemed mad that she had asked in the first place. Tanna didn't even show me the color! It was like I didn't exist.
Thank goodness I asked to see the color (to which she seemed even more agitated and slammed the swatch on the tray beside me). The color was much darker than what I was interested in, and when I brought that to her attention she said something along the lines of "black is black," and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable as it was so much darker than the dark brown/natural black I was seeking.
I then asked if I could just skip the color service, and she slammed the swatch book shut and said "ok" and just walked away. No desire to try to remediate the situation, not even a "have a nice day," she just left. It was really disappointing.
That said, Amy was an absolutely amazing stylist and made me feel the prettiest I have been in a long time. She did a great job on my hair, helped me pick a style that works for me, and had such great advice. She was also so kind throughout the whole experience! I highly recommend...

Had to have over 2 inches of back and 3 inches in the front/sides cut off from sticky ends!! My hair in some places has broken off 2 inches from the scalp. Went back 3 and a half weeks later looking for guidance on how to save the rest of my hair..instead of help Tana immediately told me she wasn't giving me a refund ( which I hadnt even asked for) and was very aggressive in nature blaming me for not coming back in 14 days or less!! Her first comment was oh your hair was dry before the highlights and her parting shot to me was " I dont know why you even bothered coming in here "!! 185 dollars plus a 40 tip for orange, broken, three different shades of brassy hair and complete rudeness.....they should be ashamed of...
