Haymaker Village SHOP 'n SAVE — Local services in Monroeville

Much higher prices than Giant Eagle or even Target groceries, selection is very limited, food on shelves and in coolers is often outdated or has dirty packaging. Produce selection is limited and very overpriced, sometimes good quality, sometimes terrible. Shelves are often understocked or unstocked, even on items that are not on sale. Cashiers and management have terrible attitudes toward customers, with a few rare exceptions. Generally few registers open, long wait lines, and employees too busy gossiping with each other instead of helping customers or doing their jobs.

Take the extra 5-10 minutes and drive to Monroeville, to another store. Better prices, better service, and better selection , as well as a nice Get-Go station/store for Giant Eagle shoppers, make the extra mile or 2 worthwhile.

I honestly feel badly for the folks in Trafford who have no car or public transit to get them to Monroeville, this store...

I had gone to the haymaker shop n save to get produce for a birthday party They were way to high priced for the condition the produce was in. I went to pick a cantaloupe, three of them were moldy (they wanted almost 4 dollars for one) and the one that looked promising my finger went right through one of the soft spots...so there went that idea...i went for some grapes...the bags were Soo stacked and so heavy on top of one another that even if they were good, alot of them were busted open from all of the weight. So forget the fruit. I went to look for some vegetables, I checked out the celery, it looked ok. When I got to the party and started cutting up this celery...the first layer was fine underneath the rest of it was more moldy spots....I got maybe 5 good pieces total and had to throw the rest away ... deffinately don't waste your money on produce here...I can't believe they would even sell it as...

I had an interaction with Jamie that works in the deli and she was every bit of rude and disrespectful. I’m not sure if it was a color thing but the way she handled us was totally uncalled for. She was angry, raising her voice, when She was asked if any other employees were available to speak with she stated no we’re all dumb go somewhere else. Her attitude was totally uncalled for. Her customer service sucks. And her professionalism was completely out the window. I will be making a formal complaint to the owner him or herself. At the end of the day we were sent to this establishment Bc we are apart of another local business that’s buys supplies from this location. The store itself is ran properly but JAMIE—- is totally out of control her attitude and level of professionalism...
