The rudest staff I have ever had the dissatisfaction of meeting. Where do I even begin? I simply wanted to get a store credit for nearly $300 worth of harnesses and leashes I bought for my new puppy. He doesn't have his shots yet so I didn't want to bring him into the store out of respect for everyone there. I kept the ones I wanted to return in my car and we had engine trouble the next day. We took it to the shop and long story short it took six weeks to get it back. When I called PetCo to ask about their one month return policy they said to talk to the manager but it shouldn't be a problem to get a refund or at the very least a store credit. I called the store and the phone rang and rang. I tried three times! Finally I drove there and even offered to show the manager the paperwork for the car. At first she said she could only give a credit and I said fine and then she changed her mind citing "company policy". I told her I spoke to corporate and they said it was her call and she just said "no it's policy" which is obviously a lie. I asked for her name and she mumbled her first name that began with an "A." I asked again and she said it was PRIVATE INFORMATION and to get out of her store. I expect they will go out of business soon but if they are still open DONT GO THERE. I regret my (overpriced)...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer at Petco Unleashed in Monrovia for a while now, mainly for the great deals on pet food. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have left me frustrated and disappointed.
Their return policy has changed. Now, you can only get a refund within 30 days and store credit within 60 days. After 60 days, they won’t accept returns or exchanges under any circumstances—even if the item is unopened, your pet doesn’t want to eat it, or had a bad reaction to it.
Also, the way they handle purchases is frustrating. We recently bought 100 5.5 oz cans of pet food, and the staff packed 50 cans into just two paper bags for each of us, making them far too heavy. When I politely asked for an extra bag to distribute the weight, they refused unless I paid for it—even though the bags were clearly overloaded. This isn’t the first time this has happened, and it’s unacceptable.
When they send emails after every purchase asking for feedback, claiming they “care and listen.” Yet, despite sharing my concerns multiple times, there’s been no response or acknowledgment. It feels like they’re more focused on appearances than actually addressing customer concerns.
I’ve come to expect better from this location, but these repeated issues have left me questioning if it’s worth continuing...
Read moreI’m not normally one to leave reviews, but we took our cat (Cowboy) to their pop up clinic for vaccinations this morning and are VERY disappointed by the service and professionalism shown by the vet techs. Cowboy is 8 months old, curious, calm, and easy going cat. The first tech we saw this morning who checked us in was very helpful and kind, allowing us to weigh our cat and she complimented his curious behavior. Nothing wrong at all at this point. We paid for the vaccines/micro chip and took Cowboy to the table to be seen. He was dumped out of his carrier by the assistant vet, and dragged into place by his harness. There was no kindness or care shown to our pet. When he got upset in response, they immediately covered him in towels and held him down to the table. the whole thing happened so fast, we didn’t even have time to react or respond to their harsh and careless treatment. I understand the concern for the vet techs health and well being, but what could be expected of Cowboy when he was dumped out and dragged around? I wouldn’t recommend anyone take their pet to Unleashed.
