I was in the store for a few minutes when I passed by Porter, the loss prevention guard in the front of the store and he looked at me up and down. After being in the shoe section for a few minutes, Porter went into the shoe section that I was in and was pretending to fix shoes for about 20 minutes. He kept circling the area, keeping an eye on me, but the shoes were still in the same positions. He was making it very obvious that he was keeping an eye on me and just touching the shoes, as no other customers were in the section other than me. I was taking my time, as I had no where else to be. Porter made me feel extremely uncomfortable doing this. I was on the hunt for 3 pairs of shoes and left only with the 1 pair I found before he came to watch me. I will not return to this store in the future. Please stop this practice and stop judging people, assuming they might be stealing just because of their race or wearing certain types of clothing, baggy, etc. I recorded myself and you can see Porter in the background circling the section I was in OVER AND OVER. I'll be calling the corporate office on Monday as well to make sure something is...
Read moreI don't recommend working here. They don't have the decency to tell you they fired you and they don't pay any attention during interviews.
I literally never mentioned working back of house before and yet they act like I'm the problem for not instantly being good at it and speedy.
Maria I'm going as fast as I can, telling me to go faster isn't going to make me magically improve.
I only worked 1 day as a cashier when I stopped getting hours at all. Even tried to get shifts and was removed by someone on a day I expected to work.
Being paid $16 an hour is not nearly enough for a company expecting perfection and yet lacking the social skills to communicate with their employees.
I'm sure employees would find the manager less insufferable if she and the company as a whole made any effort.
I had to get 2 interviews scheduled because they missed the first one. It should have been a red flag but I ignored it.
Please be careful before considering working here....
Read moreI live near the former Arcadia location and typically would shop there, however shortly before they closed permanently I started to notice that the quality of the clothing and shoes had definitely diminished. So I chocked it up to the fact they were closing. I decided to visit the new store in Monrovia. I was impressed with how clean and organized the store was, however the selection of clothing and shoes was a step up from Fallas. No Calvin Klein, DKNY, Tommy Hilfeger or Guess. In their place were items that they sell in the Alley. Many isles has large spaces in-between sizes as though they needed to restock. I was so disappointed I ended up spending $12 on 2 brushes, and some curl cream. Also there were only 4 other people shopping in the store it was desolate. Maybe It was a bad day, I will give them one more try but as of now it doesn't look good for future shopping at this location. The three stars are for cleanliness and...
