This little neighborhood park could use some improvements. It's a cute little park for the neighborhood families with kids to play and picnic, as well as for the health conscious looking for a pleasant walk around the park while on its little trail. The big concern is the walking trail. It's unsafe to walk on due to uneven surfaces from tree roots....major tripping hazard! I no longer use it for that reason. The walking trail also needs to be widened to allow two persons to walk comfortably side by side or allow another path user to pass easily. The other issue and concern as a resident in the area is seeing the homeless camping out there now. It's really disheartening and discouraging to see as a homeowner. Read moreI used to live in the area from 1997 until 2010. During that time used to take my daughter to this park regularly right after we moved there until my daughter was 10 years old. At the time it was called Olive Park. It was kind of run down then. Since then the park was renamed Lucinda Garcia Park. Which waa named after my Great Grandmother. Read moreWell designed little urban space - 1/3 mile loop, a bonus little garden area on the west end, two playgrounds for the littles and littlers. I wish the five exercise stations appealed to me more, but there's only so much one can plan for I guess. Also has a water fountain and bike repair station....
