My boyfriend and I moved here 2 weeks ago, and from the first time we toured the community back in January, signed our lease in April, and all throughout our move in process, Nick, Sellena and Juan have been above and beyond helpful! They have throughly answered all of our questions. After our lease was executed and any time we had a question, we’d get a call back promptly. Our unit was renovated beautifully and ready for us upon our move-in day and we couldn’t be more thrilled. During our move-in, Sellena and Nick were thorough and were there to guide us through everything. Also, Juan was there quickly to fix the few maintenance items we found moving in as well. The Alister team has been so incredibly helpful, friendly and present for us and they continue to be- I don’t expect that to change. It’s such a welcome change from our previous complex and we are so relieved. We are so happy to be apart of the Alister community!
Just checking in a year later to update: We absolutely still love our space but have noticed the walls and floors are thin. We can hear everything our neighbors do and say- definitely was not expecting that. The side elevator we use to get up to our unit is often out of service to move people in, which can be frustrating. Other than that, maintenance is great, people are nice and we love the added...
Read moreThis is one of the worst places I've ever lived. The walls are super thin and everyone seems to let their children run around at all hours of the night. The staff doesn't do much to help. They offer to relocate you, but if there is additional noise after the relocation they ignore your emails (which they do disclose to you), however, for almost $3000 dollars a month I expect the customer service to be better. In addition, going to speak to the upstairs neighbors does little to remedy the issue. They either tell you they will keep it down (which doesn't happen) or don't even answer the door. I don't know when everyone started being so inconsiderate of their neighbors. Everything inside the apartment looks nice, but it's actually very cheaply put together. Electric oven & stove, no air vent when cooking, cheap granite counter tops that never seen to get clean, and non led lights that make the PSE&G bill extremely high (in addition to the electric oven and stove). Washer and dryer are also extremely noisy so if you have children who nap or want to watch TV it will be difficult to do so while washing clothes. This building is advertised as luxury apartments but it's not actually built like one. I do like the valet trash service they offer, but it costs an extra...
Read moreMe and my fiance made the mistake of moving here from Jersey City after seeing the Reviews and the fact that this is Montclair. We’re leaving this review after being woken up by another Construction in the building at 7AM on a Saturday.(Quiet Hours end at 9AM in Montclair) We reported these Construction and other noises to the management and to Montclair Police Department 3 times already. The worst part is the management(Sellena) lied to our faces without any shame countless times to deflect this responsibility which was handled by the Montclair Police Department 3 times. You will be woken up here at 3AM by dogs barking at your window while the owners drinking at the No-Limit Dog Run that the Management doesn’t seem to care to manage. We moved here because Jersey City got crowded and loud but this has been the worst experience as a tenant. (See the Photos) We have been living with unhealthy walls and living conditions with Sewer Walls that turned to Yellow but the management still doesn’t find a solution but lie to our faces without any morals or ethics. If you want a peace of mind, low stress, minimal noise, urban living, DO NOT move here! You’re better off living in Section...
