Happy Orchard — Local services in Moonachie

Worst place to pick up or deliver. Very tight docks and no parking. They have 3 docks next to each other with no room in front of you, which means when you are empty you must wait for trucks next to you to leave before you can. Receiving hours are 7am-3pm. I showed up 7am with only 2 trucks ahead of me. Currently been sitting 4.5 hours still one more truck ahead of me. 3-4 hours unloading per truck. Might have to cancel next load that picks up 3pm the latest. Broker said detention must be approved by receiver in order for driver to get paid, which we all know will not happen. They have a bunch of kids working in the office/warehouse that have no idea of what’s going on or how transportation/logistics works. They spend more time on their phones and looking at the clock for it to strike 2:59pm than understanding that they have a line of trucks around the block grid locked and that makes it physically impossible to move. Entrance is right where that pink truck is coming out from (see pic) and you go all the way back to where the docks are. There’s a door in between the docks. Ring the bell and someone else I’ll come out to check you in. Very friendly. If you drive a semi and you’re in the dock there’s no space in front of you. There’s not enough space to turn around...

Customer has a trailer positioned right in front of the dock they want u to go in. Setting drivers up for failure if u ask me not to mention no pull up space in front to maneuver. Things they could do better is move that trailer to the far end of the lot so drivers can...
