I have lived in my Home Creation house for 4 year, November 20th 2015. I will start with the main bathroom, the first year Home Creations had to work on the toilet twice. It kept rocking back and forth, someone did a horrible job installing it. I had a professional fix my toilet over this past summer 2019. He said he didn't know how long the fix would last, in order for it to be fixed correctly the subfloor would have to be completely redone. The water pressure in the bathroom has no pressure, the water hardly would come out. We replaced the faucet thinking that would fix it. Nope it didn't! The towel holders keep coming off the walls, cheap I say. The light fixture is all rusted out, because of their cheap stuff. I think a child or someone who didn't know know what they were doing built the bathroom. Now the kitchen, the cabinets are made out of partical board. I have two drawers that constantly need fixing. In fact they both just completely fell apart on me today âšď¸. Nothing is sealed, behind the sink is all moldy, because it isn't sealed. I did what they told me to do before I moved it but it didn't help. The grout is all cracked on the back splash. The cabinets were not sealed so the fake wood is losing color. I have tried polishing it, no that didn't help. This is the same problem I have with the fake wood all through the house. Master bathroom the shower, terrible âšď¸ I was told I had to deal the tile. So I did the best I could do. I bought the spray. The tile on the walls are so so, they need to be cleaned all the time. The tile on the floor got a white film. I told Home Creations about it, nothing was done. I have tried everything to clean it, nothing works. The shower doors fell off, Home Creations fixed it. I asked for different doors. I was told no this is all we have, by the way they fell off again and will not properly go back in like they should so one door is just hanging there waiting to fall apart again. The water pressure in the shower is worthless, I can't properly wash all the shampoo and conditioner out of my hair. The seal that is supposed to go around the shower tile along the floor has come up and water is getting down in the wall. The floor border, I was wiping it down to clean it, the boarder turned brown. They need to be repainted. My second sink has no water pressure. My first sink, when you let the hot water run, you hear popping in the walls. The bathtub, The paint chips off very easy. I have areas that do not look good because they are chipped. The towel holders are starting to fall off the walls. The soap tray fell off the wall in our first year, Home Creations fixed it. It fell off again about a month later, this time it broke in areas so now it looked bad. Home Creations had to come out and fix it, they put the same broken tray back up. âšď¸ I Plumbing isn't the greatest, it backs up slot. You can't use Charmin toilet paper, it will back up your plumbing. Main toilet already had the guts changed out. The master started to act up, hopefully it doesn't need to be changed out. The bowls get stains on them easily, I even put the cleaner you stick inside the bowl to keep it clean doesn't help. The first time our plumbing backed up was a couple of months outside our one year mark. I called the emergency department warranty, we were told they couldn't do anything we were outside our warranty. Luckily he told us to go outside to the pipes sticking up and pull out the top part and take a broom handle to push or unclog the pipe. It worked, we have had to do it several times since then. My outside faucet broke, I had to get parts for it. The outside electrical outlet doest work, Everytime you try to use it the breaker blows. It still needs to be fixed. Don't hang anything to heavy on the walls, it will fall right out. The sheet rock is terrible âšď¸. Plus extremely thin, you can hear everything. The mail boxes are cheap, the fence is cheap. Everything is cheap except the AC/heating. The utility bills are pretty good. The carpet is a joke ! The seam started coming apart...
Read moreI can't think of a positive aspect throughout the whole procedure. Mike the sales guy was nice. That's about it. Richard is in the wrong line of work. His customer service skills are non existent. All of my neighbors and I had the same experience with him. Things were not even finished inside at time of closing that had to be on an addendum. That's fine I guess, until it takes months to get a simple sliding door replaced because the wrong size was ordered and had sitting there in the house for weeks before closing. Not hung up mind you. Just leaning against the wall. It couldn't have been checked in that entire time? Now I'm dealing with their refusal to do an 11 month inspection. Apparently a little work done 8 months after we moved in (which finally dealt with items we had from day 1), with a heading on the paper that says "60 DAY INSPECTION" is supposed to suffice as an 11 month inspection. The grading of the land between us and the neighbors on both sides causes a huge runoff even in the most average rainfall we get. It's a river between our houses during a storm. A dryer vent that is on the roof. Who knew? Apparently it's the worst place to put one, and our neighborhood is full of them. It became clogged after 7 months of use. In my previous house of 5 years, never 1 time did I have to clean a dryer vent. As my neighbor said, we just feel like we were duped with a good sales pitch solely to get our $, and after the fact have become useless, or a problem to them. It's like we are just supposed to accept it all as being ok. Would the owner of HC put up with these issues and not want to contact someone to have them fixed? Would you put up with it in your home? Especially a home that you saved and saved and saved up for and saw that large chunk of $ leave your bank account for this level of service after the fact. I think most people that put so much of their $ into a home have a level of pride gratitude to have something so nice that they want to keep it as nice as possible for as long as possible. They just want the people that they did business with to live up the standards that we were sold on. It isn't a lot to ask for, but not everyone can live up to their...
Read moreThe foundation of the house for a new home is fair and has held up for the past 3 years but during our first walkthrough prior to buying our house, the workers were reluctant to fix anything. That should have been a red flag then but we overlooked that cue. Snot were on the walls and then being told that some of the workers had children onsite with them should have been the other red flag but stupidly enough, we decided to let that one go. On our first day moving in our garage door broke off the hinges and almost fell on top of my car (3rd red flag). The first 3 or 6 month walkthrough was fine although, some things were left unfinished just out of laziness. It took several phone calls and complaints to get our 11 month walkthrough which took about 2 years living in our home before that was completed and still, not everything was fixed. Since living in our home for 3 years now, they have allowed their workers to come do construction at anytime of the day (starting around 5-6am) and some of the workers will even have music blasted throughout the day. I have not seen any manager on site. We even had workers using our water hose and washing off paint and what not in our yard after we noticed our water bill had rose. We ended up locking our outdoor water system and we filed a complaint but still see the same workers doing the same thing in other peoples yards. I would never buy a house from Home Creations again and buying a newly built home in general has proved me right about the...
