This Walgreens location has a horrible reputation. The pharmacy especially. Knowing this, I avoid them like the plague. So when my son was very ill and they were the only place in town with the medicine he needed, I was not looking forward to the trip. I assume they had it because I'm not the only one to avoid them. I spoke to the pharmacy after being disconnected multiple times, who gave me the wrong information, I then asked to speak to the manager. She assured me she would handle it and it would be ready so we headed out. I should mention I had the sick kid and no car as mine was broken down. We arrived, 2 hours after she said to come, to find no medicine. I huffed off and asked to speak to the same manager (the store manager). She went to speak to them and discovered that they could not yet transfer the script bevabec my regular pharmacy was closed for lunch by this time. I was not happy. She remained unflustered and gave myself and my children a ride home and then delivered the med to us once it was ready. She more than made up for the mistake(s) and assured me she had just taken over and was working the kinks out. I did notice that the rest of the staff was now very friendly, when in the past they just seemed to "be there". I can't remember her name, but she's the store manager and I believe her when she says she's making improvements. I look forward to seeing that...
Read moreWalgreens started my day off with a bang! I stayed all night w a sick friend and in the middle of the night, I decided to design the Christmas card for my family members that is actually part of a bigger gift—had to be customized! Walgreens Photo—set of 20 cards on card stock, printed on both sides (several templates to choose from), phone photos and screen shots looked great, even low resolution shots, and able to add own text was a painless project. I ordered online AND there was a 60% off code to boot! Again, up all night, heading home, and “DING”—text and email telling me my project was ready for pickup! And, how nice being greeted by a smiling face, maybe two other customers, clean and inviting aisles…my kryptonite. I pressed on to Photos, retrieved my “quality” cards, and told myself I’d come back after a nap to surf the sales, grabbed a bag of Fun Size Payday bars and was out of the store in less than 10 min! One of a kind, specialty item that cost next to nothing w online order promo…Starting the day on top like that set the tone for the whole day!...
Read moreI spent an hour on the phone just trying to see if they had my prescription in stock yet. I waited patiently behind 3 callers which took around 20 minutes. A girl in the pharmacy answered the phone just to put me back on hold without discussing anything with me. I continued waiting and then the phone disconnected. I called back and was put to the back of the line once again. I waited and finally spoke to a different girl. She put me on hold to check the shelf. Guess what? Disconnected AGAIN. She was nice enough to call me back on my cell while I was on hold again(on the land line). She informed me that they don't have the medicine, so this was all for nothing. Typically a good store to go to but the pharmacy needs help with answering the phones, apparently. If you don't like dealing with robots answering the phone, deal with a smaller company. Walgreens and Walmart are too big for...
