Fisherman's Catch II — Local services in Morganton

Came in today and the lady that was working was absolutely the sweetest women ever, I got fresh tuna,salmon and grouper and instead of just doing whatever she asked me how I wanted it cut, asked if I need ice, and really took her time making sure I was happy with my FRESH seafood. I’ve came in the past and the employees was bland and not very welcoming, today was a completely different experience. Will be back a lot more seeing the women that was working today, she was so kind and made me feel like it was my grandma working so I was very patient with her and honestly so shocked of how kind and sweet she was. The only thing I would say differently is she wasn’t very educated with what fish was what but luckily me being from Anna Maria island Florida, I was able to help. Best place to get fresh seafood and this store makes me feel at home...

Called this morning and put a box of oysters on hold. I was told when I called back that they had plenty. When my father arrived to get them "surprise" they didn't have our name. Upon review we were at the green street location and I called Fleming street. When my father asks if they had another location the gentlemen told him "no". We paid for a box of oysters and only got about 50. My gut told me I should have went to Hickory "dockside". My bad but will not be tricked again or miss lead. I bought NC "Fresh Caught" shrimp from here. They were not fresh at all. They were old, smelled terrible, and inedible. They were properly iced and cooked same day as I bought them. I spent $20 on what I hoped would be a good Christmas present for my Dad but it was not. My Dad is from the east coast and knows good shrimp from bad/spoiled shrimp. We typically buy fresh caught shrimp from Calabash, NC. I thought that since these were "fresh caught" they would be good especially since the rest of the shrimp they have the lady said "are frozen, we just thaw them". Will not be buying...
