I recently donated furniture to HH in Morganton. The crew were timely but they did not give one iota about the furniture I donated. They threw things onto the truck, did not take any care and not scratching or denting some higher end furniture I donated including Kincaid dresser and bed that were in excellent condition. The driveway was muddy and when the crew came in the house they tracked the mud into my white carpeted bedroom. When I realized they had done so, I told them to just go ahead and get the furniture I will have to clean the carpet anyway. I would never donate anything to them again. I'll call someone else who will care for the donations so they will get the best price for the charity. Completely...
Read moreRidiculous furniture pricing...nearly new prices for used damaged furniture. I shop at multiple re-stores and the furniture pricing at this location in particular is not comparable. Some of the "new" donations are appropriately priced... but 300 for a dethreading stained couch, 200 for a peeling water ringed particle board desk, & 150 for scratched dressers missing hardware is a little ridiculous... Read moreOmg what a find. I didnt know Burke Co. Has a Habitat store. Love theirs. My Sprayer didnt work. Said tested. Wasn't. A Part was Missing. Went back and Josh found and fixed it also made sure that was the correct part. Now I'm cooking with oil. Lol
