Habitat for Humanity ReStore — Local services in Morganton

Review letter in regards to Habitat ReStore - Catawba Valley, located 1615 8th St Dr SE, Hickory, NC 28602, next to Aldi, and across from Home Depot, compared to Habitat ReStore, located 111 Independence Blvd, Morganton, NC 28655, in Burke County, just a 30-minute drive apart.

In two days’, time of travels between the two “ReStore,” I have come to the conclusion in regards to the prices and clarification of ownership. Naturally, I had learned that both Habitat ReStores, is a separate business ownership. Good to know, right?

Prices on the other hand, is an entirely different subject altogether. Whereas, the “Hickory Store,” is way overpriced, way over-rated if you will, and by what, I mean, the couches there have shoe prints all over the couches, and price tags say, $1, 950, if not MORE!

Damn! $2,000 for a dirty couch?!?!

The Morganton, NC ReStore, is an entirely different matter, and I am literally shaking my head while writing this review. The couches are clean as whistle, and the prices, “get this,” less than $500 or LESS, some $120.......

Need I say more in comparison of prices, plus the distance between the two?

A lot of stuff to look at here, but I did not find much in the way of good deals to purchase anything. If the prices were right, I'd probably buy things that I might use in the future. As this is supposed to be a thrift store and some items are not in the best condition, I would only visit infrequently to see how it has changed - perhaps once every few months. Now if you need something specific, you may have a better chance of finding it at this location compared to the other area habitat stores because they are much smaller or have even more...

just delt with them. they are crrocks. the people in store especially tthe 2 ladies have some contract with people outside , that they themselves sell items by bulk when something really is of good value. They call them and get the percentage and when you arrive they say oh item has not been priced and 2 minutes later they say ,oh items has been sold. I beleive they should stop the employee do this inside business...
