MI PALOMA MEXICAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Morganton

The first time was great! Great food great people... We went every Wednesday for about 3 weeks and always left really good tips (10.00) tips on 30.00 checks. Went yesterday 5/10/2023 and it was absolutely terrible!!! The staff looked at us for 10+ min not bothering to take a drink order, I get up then she comes (they all 3 was sitting not a care in the world).. finally got our order took and she brought our food. Food was absolutely terrible... Extremely burnt & nasty food and it's never this bad.. The lady filled my cup 1 time and don't come back to check on us literally 2 table visits (take order & bring order) and after 50 min still no check so I had to ask for it because she never came back! To finish the cook came out of the bathroom with a Corona beer bottle (empty) and snuck it under the bus boys cart! That's why our food was burnt and nasty... Drinking on the job don't mix well with cooking apparently... NEVER AGAIN and we LOVED it...

One waitress was drunk or high. Instead of management sending her home or taking her to an office she was taken to a corner near our booth and scolded by 3 other employees forover 30 minutes. The only other 2 waitress were in on the scolden so our service was TERRIBLE! We had no napkins & nobody offered to refill our drinks. We waited 30 minutes after our meal for the check and a to go box but they were all arguing. I honestly was so upset that I walked out for 15 more minutes. Only when my son came out to check on me did the staff notice we had gone outside. Then they came outside with our check. The Nacho Supreme was soggy and they forgot to put cheese on the taco. My daughter n law paid & tried to complain but the employee acted as though she didn't speak english. No apology for their drama. Just an awful experience. Worst run...

You best come hungry y'all. I got a mess of them Texas fajitas and they was piled high and wide. Lord I mean meat meat meat and perfectly seasoned. I ate 4 meals out of what they gave me. That there horchata drink was good too what with that dash of cinnamon and ice cold, it balances your taste buds against the spiciness of the food. Magic drink. The steak here is pretty good too. Rice and beans are just right and they do good on the chips and salsa. You won't go thirsty here as the waitress was on the ball with refills and such. They's got outside tables too so plenty of seating for all. If you got lucky younguns there's a pizza joint next door so you could eat outside and git the you've pizza while you're a driving a burrito in you. Reckon if them 2 joints would team up and make a fajita pizza? Reckon that...
